India’s current comic craze is involved in a huge debate with the peeps at Colors. But why?
We’ve been hearing about Kapil Sharma’s big Bollywood debut from quite some time now. But it seems that like any other struggler, the funny man’s filmi debut is not a cakewalk.
From what we hear, Kapil, who will soon begin shooting for his maiden film titled Bank Chor has been pleading Colors to turn his popular show, Comedy Nights with Kapil into a once-a-week affair, but the channel peeps have rejected his plea considering the humungous popularity that the show has.
“Initially I had planned to do the show once a week during the shooting of my film. But the channel has rejected the idea. They are not ready to listen to my rona-dhona,” the nation’s current comic craze was quoted by a portal.
And he also can’t create a bank of episodes. “I can’t create a bank of episodes for two months when I shoot my film because all the stars who come on my show do so when they are promoting their films. I can’t tell then, ‘Aap pehle aa jao kyonki meri film shooting hai,’” he further said.
