VJ Andy is co-hosting the Box Cricket League (BCL) with Kavita Kaushik. The stylist-turned-host is also hosting the game show Dare 2 Date. Says Andy, “Hosting BCL is going to be completely different. I will be talking to players individually, understand the game from their perspective and also pull eveyone’s leg. I am going to bring out the real relationships behind all those glamorous faces.”
Andy, who has been a part of the theatre group Rifko Arts for the last 15 years is also designing Shabana Azmi’s outfits for a play Happy Birthday Sunita that is being produced by his brother Pravesh Kumar. The play is being staged in London and will be coming to India next month. “Shabanaji plays a Punjabi mother in the play. My mom is a Punjabi and I took inspiration from her. Shabanaji is a perfectionist and she came shopping with me. We shopped everywhere from Lokhandwala to Byculla to get the right colour combination and fabrics,” says Andy.
