Deepika Singh and Anas Rashid are popularly known as Sandhya and Sooraj from Star Plus’s hit show Diya Aur Baati Hum. The jodi is well liked by many not only in India but even in Thailand! That’s right, Deepika and Anas, along with the star cast of the show received a bunch of rather special gifts from their die- hard fans in Thailand.Our sources inform us that the cast and crew of the show were gifted customized key chains and T-shirts by their Thai fans. Now isn’t that some true love for the show, eh? As you can see in the pic above, a member from the team is seen sporting a T-shirt with Sandhya and Sooraj’s caricature on the same! We hear the fans were able to get in touch with Sunil Vishwakarma, the .D.O.P and planned everything with him.
While talking to a popular entertainment daily he said,” “They had contacted me on my social networking site. They follow our show there regularly and they have a fan group there. One of the girls from the fan group planned everything and sent these gifts for everyone. We would like to thank them for loving our show so much even if the show is a Non-Thai show.”
Ashok Lokhande who plays Babasa on the show, was moved by the gesture and said,” “We felt so good to see their sweet gesture for all of us. They want to meet us and they keep asking us to visit Thailand. They know everyone’s name. One day we will visit there to meet all of them. We are touched to see their love for us. They have put in a lot of efforts to prepare those customized gifts for us and send it here. They love our show so much and it’s a big gesture from their side. Diya Aur Baati Hum is having a huge fan following there.”
