The actor was seen promoting his film Gabbar Is Back in the premiere episode of IGT which was a perfect combination of entertainment and talent!
The sixth season of India’s Got Talent saw its premiere today, with judges Karan Johar, Malaika Arora Khan and hosts Bharti Singh- Nakuul Mehta. Full of entertainment, fun, and drama, the first episode was worth a wait indeed. Here’s what I thought:
What’s it about
India’s Got Talent is a reality talent based show which has been airing on channel Colors since 2009. The series as we all know, is judged by Karan, Malaika and Kirron, who select contestants based on their performances and pass them on to the next rounds. The sixth season of IGT saw its first premiere episode today and the stunts performed by the contestants were deadlier and more hatke this time, as promised. Where some acts amazed the judges as well as me, there were others who were truly worthy of all the “boos” they received towards the end!
What’s hot
I completely agree with Kirron Kher when she said,”I wonder what contestants will do different with each passing season and every time, I’m left amazed.” I had the same thought process while watching the show and boy was my mind blown! The contestants made sure they brought hatke to the table this time around with their unforgettable performances. The one that truly stood out for me was contestant Jaideep’s water dance. Another on my list was a digital aerial act performed by one contestant, which truly stunned Malaika, Kirron and Karan!
The icing on the cake was Akshay Kumar’s entry where he promoted his film Gabbar Is Back. It was fun to see the khiladi shaking a leg with the hilarious host Bharti on Tip tip barsa paani. Lol, that one really cracked me up! Kudos to the comedian who adds paisa vasool entertainment to every season with her quirky stints. Coming to the judges, Malaika looked a as radiant as ever and was her usual generous self while judging the performances. Karan, on the other hand was spunky with his snarky comments. Kirron however, was predictable with her saree pallu stint. Get on with it!
What’s not
Where Bharti stood out with her act as the host, TV actor Nakuul Mehta couldn’t quite leave a lasting impression. Coming to the drama that happened back stage, the makers tried to incorporate certain tricks ti make the show funny which turned out to be SHIT boring instead! I enjoyed Bharti’s nok jhok with the judges but the same with Nakuul mad me yawn big time.
What to do
I promise you, some killer performances are coming your way so do not miss this season of India’s Got Talent!
