In an exclusive interview, few of JDJ 7 contestants talk about their strengths and weaknesses

With season 7 of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa all set to hit the television screens very soon, the stakes have been upped and the contestants are gearing up to battle it out with each other by grooving on some never seen and heard before dance forms. And unlike previous season, this time the makers have roped in not just the popular faces, but celebrities who also have a flair for dancing. So we caught up with few contestants at the media conference which was held yesterday (June 2). Here’s BollywoodLife’s interaction with the contestants of the dance reality show….

What are your strengths and weaknesses when it comes to dance?

Purab Kohli: I think my biggest weakness is my form. I have to get my form and usage of legs better. So I have a bit of a problem when it comes to techniques. And as far as the strengths, I can focus for a long period of time and stay there. So I am hoping with that and all the hard work that I do, I am able to go a long way.

Shakti Mohan: I think dance is my strength as well as a weakness.

Karan Tacker: My weakness is my improper co-ordination of hands and legs. So when I dance, it feels very robotic. So yeah, I cannot dance. My strength is that I am hardworking and persistent.

Palak (Kiku Sharda): Weaknesses? Ek bhi nahi hai. Aur strength hai ki main acha dance karti hoon. (Weaknesses? There aren’t any. And my strengths are that I dance really well)

VJ Andy: My strength is that I am an entertainer and I have been dancing from quite a while. Weaknesses, well there aren’t any. (Laughs)

Kritika Kamra: My strength is my choreographer Savio (Barnes). He has done this before, so he is a veteran and a patient teacher. My flaws are that I am not a veteran in dance. So I have to start everything from scratch. It’s like from the beginning to the performer level.

Sophie Choudry: Because I am born and brought up in abroad, I have an international body language. And this is my strength. So since this season, they are focusing more on international dance forms, I have a plus point there. The minus point is that I am not a trained dancer at all. And there are some contestants over here, who are trained in various dance forms right from classical to western. So yes, that is a minus point.

Mouni Roy: Strength is my partnership with my choreographer Punit (Pathak) and weakness is that we are too nice, (Laughs)
