The yesteryear actress was on nation’s most controversial reality show to promote her upcoming film

Rekha was seen spreading her charm in tonight’s episode of Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 8. The actress was on the high voltage reality show to promote her upcoming film, Super Nani.

Salman and Rekha shared the stage after ages. But they made sure that the viewers are entertained for they sang and danced together.

However, that wasn’t the only interesting thing that happened in the episode. We also saw Rekha interacting and having a jolly good time with all the contestants, except Puneet Issar.

Yes, while the Koi Mil Gaya actress was warm to every housemate, but she was royally ignoring Puneet.

In fact, when she went inside the house, she greeted everyone with a hug, but when Puneet tried to hug her, she walked away.

We wonder if the actress is still miffed with Puneet over that Coolie incident. As many of you will already know, while shooting for Coolie, Puneet had accidentally caused a serious injury to Big B, after which Issar became a national villain.

While Sr Bachchan’s legion of fans have let the bygones be bygones, but looks like Rekha haven’t been able to forgive Puneet yet.

The first look of Kunal Kohli and Jennifer Winget’s debut movie – Phir Se is out and it seems like a romantic comedy. The first poster has Jennifer and Kunal popped up on two different wedding cakes that have split in two.

Now like we told you earlier the story would revolve around  Jen hailing from Delhi who moves to London post her divorce. Well Kunal also has a similar story; it’s just that there is a huge age difference between the two. The first poster has a striking resemblance to a Hollywood chic-flick that we still can’t place a finger on.

The second poster indicates that  Jennifer Winget‘s character has turned off marriages, and is averse to the idea since she also has a baby to take care of. On the other hand, Kunal is turning 40, but has the heart of an 18-year-old. He still wants to give life a second chance and must be the reason why he is trying to woo Jennifer. Well that’s what we get from the poster.

The biggest reality show may have suffered in terms of numbers, but the channel claims all is well

We recently put up a story revealing the falling TRPs of Bigg Boss 8 as the numbers went from 2.2 to 1.8 in the second week. However, the channel claims that even though the numbers might have fallen, the best is yet to come.

The weekend programming head of Colors, Manisha Sharma said, “Planning the logistics for a show like Bigg Boss is a challenging task and it takes months of preparation. We are happy that this season of Bigg Boss has done well so far. Together with the phenomenal viewer response and the successful partnerships with our sponsors, we aim to surpass viewer expectations. The best is still to come and the creative teams are working round the clock to make sure that the show achieves new milestones with interesting twists and turns, as the show continues to gain momentum with every passing day.”

We wonder if the Navratri festival affected the numbers given the fact that even daily soaps suffer in ratings during such festivals. Despite the fall in TRP, Bigg Boss took Colors up the channel rating charts and put it on number 2 among other competing Hindi GECs.

Viewers will get to witness some major drama tonight

Tonight’s episode of Bigg Boss 8 is certainly full of dramas. All thanks to this task called Gharwaale janana chahte hai. According to the task the housemates were told to write down some questions which they want to ask their co-contestants.

And guess who was chosen as the moderator? The one and only Gautam Gulati. During this karya, Arya was asked by someone why he looks so disinterested and thanda since last couple of weeks. He gave his reasons and he also said that he plans to change and go out there with full enthusiasm from here on. He also said that he also plans to apologise to people who he have been hurt.

Gautam quickly questioned him if he has apologised to Minissha after the Weekend Ka Vaar fiasco (Arya had spoken about Minissha and their personal past) to which Aarya said NO.

However, Gautam told him in filmy ishtyle ‘Dost… maafi mangne se koi chota nahi ho jata’ post which Arya quickly turned towards Minissha and said sorry. He also confessed that he regrets speaking out personal things on TV. Minissha quickly accepted his apology and smiled back at him.

While this was the good part about the task, let us tell you that some old matters (Read: That whole Gautam and Karishma tamashaa) have come out of the grave. Viewers will get to see Gulati having a heated argument with Tanna and Diandra.

The contestants will be in a rude shock after Bigg Boss will announce the nominations in tonight’s episode

The one time when all contestants have strategy on their mind is inadvertently when the weekly nominations have been announced. When Bigg Boss announced nominations for the coming week, all the contestants took some time to get their thoughts together and shortlist those they would like to nominate for eviction.

However, they were in for a rude shock when Bigg Boss announced to them that they had to, in fact, take a name of the person that they would like to ‘save’ from elimination in the coming week.

This created a lot of confusion amongst the contestants because they often entered the Confession Room and immediately started rattling off names that they would like to see nominated.

There were also moments when the contestants went into shock and took at least 5 minutes to get themselves together before they could name the contestant they could save.

However, the real twist came after the nominations were complete when the safe contestants were asked to present roses as a gesture of thanks to those contestants they believed had saved them via the Rose Day task.

To say that this task ruffled some feathers would be an understatement. Let’s just say that while some people felt like princes and princesses, some were tremendously upset to learn that their friendships were in fact not as strong as they thought!

The yesteryear actress gave a tough time to the makers of the high voltage reality show

Rekha graced the small screen after a decade when she appeared on Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 8 to promote her upcoming film Super Nani. And the yesteryear actress was certainly at her candid best throughout the show. She shook a leg with Salman and had a jolly good time with the contestants.

However, let us tell you that the case was completely different behind the scenes. A source reveals that the Krrish actress was acting pricey and throwing her weight around on the sets.

While other guests, who visit the high voltage reality show share a common vanity van, Rekha asked for a separate one exclusively for her. In fact, she also asked the makers to show them the final cut of the episode before it went on-air.

That’s not all. Same was the case when Rekha went on the sets of Kapil Sharma’s popular show Comedy Nights with Kapil. The actress had a never-ending list of her demands there as well.

In the recent episode of Qubool Hai, Sanam (Surbhi Jyoti) is heading to meet Aahil (Karanvir Bohra) and reveal the real Tanveer (Amrapali Gupta) in front of her husband.

However, before she reaches the party, Tanveer attacks her and gets her killed. Tanveer believes that she has killed Sanam for good, but what she doesn’t know is that Seher- Sanam’s twin has seen everything. She replaces Sanam in the house and as Aahil’s wife, and when Tanveer sees this she is shocked. She can no longer find Sanam or her dead body. Seher decides to teach Tanveer a lesson as Sanam and troubles her endlessly.

In fact, Tanveer starts doubting Seher, but is unable to prove anything. Seher slowly starts spoiling Tanveer’s plan. But we are waiting for Aahil to figure out Tanveer’s truth. Will Seher expose Aahil’s step –mother or will Tanveer outsmart Seher as well.

It’s an intense sequence and some truths are to be revealed in the coming episode

In the last episode of Kumkum Bhagya, we see how Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia) supports the corporator in tearing down Kumkum Bhagya marriage hall. Pragya (Sriti Jha) is shocked that in spite of requesting to save it, Abhi turns a deaf ear and walks away. Sarla (Supriya Shukla) is stunned seeing the interaction between Abhi and Pragya. She starts questioning her daughter about it.

In the next episode we will see that Pragya is about to reveal the truth about the relation between her husband and her, when she gets interrupted by the other family members. Pragya’s entire family forms a human chain and stand in front of the bulldozer. But will they manage to save their marriage hall or will the corporator go ahead and demolish the hall?

Well sources inform that there are two possibilities – Abhi will finally agree to help Pagya seeing her in trouble or Suresh (Faisal Rashid) will come in with a stay order and rescue the family in the nick of time. Looks like the makers of Bigg Boss are adamant on creating as many fights as possible or so it seemed in today’s episode

Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 8 house has, as usual, been full of surprises. The elimination process, tonight, saw a twist. The housemates, today, weren’t supposed to eliminate a member but safeguard someone. Naturally, all housemates were taken aback- not something they had planned on doing. Later the contestants were asked to hand over rose/roses (depending on the number of safety votes they received) to housemates whom they think safeguarded them. Someone (read Sushant Divgikar) was bound to be hurt on not receiving a rose as Upen Patel, who received 3 votes, gave his last rose to Gautam Gulati and not him.

But the drama did not end here; Bigg Boss was adamant on creating more fights. As part of the Gharwaale janana chahte hai task, housemates were asked to put down a question for any co-contestant and Gautam, was made moderator. He was supposed to ask these questions and add more if required to get the desired answers. Fishy, isn’t it?

A lot happened over this Q-n-A session. To start with, Gautam, who loves to play filmi all the time, made Arya Babbar apologize to Minissha Lamba for having said anything against her on camera. Arya obliged willingly and Minissha, as much willingly, accepted the apology. Sweet!

Then Karishma Tanna was asked to elaborate on her selfish and self-centered attitude. Sportingly, Karishma replied that it was basic human instinct to think of oneself first. But it din’t go down well with Ms Abused-me-on-national-television Tanna when Puneet Issar pointed out the same thing. Probably because Puneet went on to declare that he had voted Karishma in the second elimination for the very same reason. Ouch! That definitely, would have hurt.

Given that Gautam was allowed to ask questions, he, obviously, wouldn’t have missed an opportunity to come out clean in the whole Diandra-Soares-not-talking issue. He confronted her about their last conversation making her confess that she (Diandra) had asked him to stay away from Upen (now a very close ally of Diandra) and Pritam. Gautam clarified that this was why HE and stopped talking to HER and not the other way around. Late, but nice come back Gautam! And of course, Ms Soares outright rubbished his claims.

Gautam later confessed to Puneet that he asked half the questions on his own and not from the sheet given to him. We wonder which half were his… Wink! Wink!

The episode ended with the usual gossiping and bitching between the two groups- Puneet-Praneet-Pritam-Gautam and Upen-Diandra-Soni-Natasa. Phew!

Paridhi has been creating trouble in the Modi house, and soon one more miscreant will enter the scene

Paridhi (Loveleen Kaur Sasan) has been creating problems for Gopi (Devoleena Bhattacharjee) ever since she trapped Jigar (Vishal Singh) into marrying her. Last night’s nomination round saw a twist where all the housemates barring three, were up for eliminations. What’s going on? Read on to find out…

The word unpredictability is synonymous with the Bigg Boss house and the same was proven yet again when the house-mates were asked to nominate a person, who they wished to secure from nominations this time around. Praneet Bhatt, Sushant Divgikar and Upen Patel were declared safe in the last episode of Bigg Boss 8. Rest of the house mates are in for eliminations, the troublemakers of the house being Karishma Tanna, Arya Babbar, Minissha Lamba and everyone’s personally hated, Gautam Gulati.

More tadka was added to the last episode where Gautam was assigned the power to ask questions to the inmates, who had to answer the same with all truth and honesty. Mr Gulati was further given the leverage to ask questions of his own, in case he felt the housemates weren’t being truthful enough. With great power comes great responsibility, eh Gautam?

In the last episode, we saw Babasa and Bhabho asking Vikram (Karan Goddwani) to help them look for a rishta for Meenakshi (Kanika Maheshwari). Vikram was seen being troubled by the same. Disha (Jyoti Sharma) and Prema (Vindhya Tiwari), on the other hand, schemed to hijack a plane together. Sandhya (Deepika Singh) meanwhile found a clue leading up to Disha and Prema’s plan but refrained from calling Zakir (Neil Bhatt) for his help. The episode ended with Bhabho and Bhabsa, bringing poison for Meenakshi, in order to play a small prank on her and test her love for Vikram.

In the upcoming episode, we will see Babasa and Bhabo telling Meenakshi that she was pranked by them and they will instruct her to play along with the new plan. Vikram will be awestruck seeing Meenakshi’s new look. Further, Sooraj (Anas Rashid) will show off his new scooter to Sandhya, who will be intrigued by the number plate on it.

The Super Nani actress made an appearance on the show to promote her upcoming film…

While she was super-cozy with the rest of the contestants on the show, Rekha gave Puneet Issar the royal ignore. For the uninitiated, Rekha was seen getting pally with the Bigg Boss 8 inmates when she visited the house, she even hugged each of the contestants but when Puneet tried to hug her, she walked away.

Animosity between Rekha and Puneet goes long back to the Coolie accident when Issar’s punch had accidentally injured Amitabh Bachchan, thus making Puneet a national villain. The injury was a major risk to Big B’s life and he spent a considerable time thereafter bed-ridden at a hospital.

It is said that prior to the accident Amitabh and Rekha were an item and post the injury due to all the time Sr Bachchan spent at the hospital with family including Jaya Bachchan changed his equation with Rekha. After his recovery from the accident, Big B started maintaining his distance from the Super Nani actress.

Though the incident happened almost 30 years ago, Rekha still seems to be holding a grudge against Puneet.

Well, the cold shoulder Rekha gave to Issar sure became the highlight of the episode and we just hope that someday Rekha finds it in her heart to forgive Puneet for the past…

It’s difficult for Neha to shut down her feelings for Aman, but she will do anything for Akansha – her sister

In the previous episode of Itti Si Khushi, we saw how Neha (Smriti Kalra) is trying to ignore her feelings for Aman (Anuj Sachdeva) and move on to the best of her ability. But every time someone mentions Aman, Neha gets upset and it clearly shows on her face.

In the next episode, Neha will try to burn away her memories of their friendship by setting fire to their pictures and moments together. When Aman sees this, he tries to save the photographs and in that moment realises that Neha is much more than just a friend to him. Bound by family responsibilities and the expectations from his mother, he is unable to decide what to do. Neha oblivious to how Aman feels, tries to avoid him but is unable to as he is about to marry her own sister.

In the last episode, we saw Sakshi (Simone Singh) deciding to play a sly game of her own in order to teach a lesson to Rajnat h(Ayub Khan) and Raima (Kishwer Merchantt). She decided to play it cool and act like everything was normal after all. Durga (Sanjeeda Sheikh) on the other hand was asked to keep a karvachauth vrat for Dev (Bhuvnesh Mann). Rajnath was seen meeting up with Aghniotri, in order to get the video from him. The episode ended with Rajnath shooting Aghniotri and escaping the scene, thinking that he would be successful in saving Shaurya (Vatsal Sheth) from further controversies.

In the upcoming episode, we will see Durga and Dayal having a conversation and planning their next move against Sakshi. They both will decide to come up with a plan B for her. Further, Dev will advice Durga not to keep a fast for him, as it wouldn’t hold any meaning and would play with his mother’s emotions. Durga however will be adamant on keeping the fast with Dev promising that he wouldn’t break it.

The atmosphere is quite grim post the nominations in the controversial house

It’s a new day in Bigg Boss 8 and the inmates have a new luxury task to do. Like always this one is further going to create chaos in the house.

Super Heroes Vs Super Villains

The new task is to make two teams, Super Heroes and Super Villains. Bigg Boss has appointed Karishma Tanna as the captain for Superheroes (Red T-shirts) and RJ Preetam is in charge of the Supervillains (Black T-shirts). However, he has not assigned them a team. Their task is to woo people on their side and make a new team. However people can choose on their own to pick whichever team they wish to be a part of.

Wooing the contestants

While in the start there were several who opted to be a part of Karishma’s Superheroes, as the day progressed many switched parties in order to have a comfortable life. Diandra Soares, Arya Babbar, Upen Patel, Soni Singh, Minissha Lamba, Natasha Stankovic were in the Superheroes team, while Puneet Issar, Praneet Bhat, Gautam Gulati and Sonali Raut created havoc as the Supervillains.

Sushant Divgikar, who was initially part of the superheroes, switched sides for the greed of a leisure life.

The do’s and don’ts

As Supervillains, the contestants have the freedom to do anything and everything. In fact, most of them chose to sit idle and waste away their time as the Superheroes toiled hard to do their daily chores. In fact, at 2:45 am when the superheroes finally called it a night and dozed off, the Supervillains, after much planning, started banging vessels and pouring water all over the heroes to disrupt their sleep time. Sonali even went to the extreme to trouble them.

Sonali’s revenge

Sonali, however, utilised some extreme measures to disrupt Karishma’s sleep and even went on to pull off the bed-sheets and mattresses from her bed. Karishma tried to stop Sonali from going overboard by holding her from behind but this was not enough to stop Sonali who even walked all over Karishma’s mattress with her shoes on. In fact, Sonali even went up to Diandra’s bed and poured water all over her, while Diandra just sat in one spot and watched her in disgust.

The new kid on bloc, who impressed everyone with his first show Zindagi Gulzar Hai is all set to come back for more

Fawad Khan, who was last seen romancing Sonam Kapoor in Khoobsurat is all set to showcase his popular Pakistani daily soap Humsafar on Zindagi channel.

Apparently, Humsafar was one of Pakistan’s most watched and loved daily soap.

The story of Humsafar revolves around the story of two opposite personalities, who fall in love post marriage. The journey from being arranged to falling in love and the complications behind it make for an interesting storyline. While Fawad had done several projects before Humsafar, it was this show that took him to great heights. Incidentally, Mahira Khan won a lot of awards for her role in the show.

The show also won several awards for storyline, acting and direction. Well for those who have been drooling over Fawad, this seems like a golden opportunity to catch the actor again.

Humsafar will go on air by October 14, 2014 at 08:00pm only on Zindagi channel.

The love story between Baldev and Veera is all set to hit a roadblock

In the previous episodes of Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera we saw how Ranvijay (Shivin Narang) opposes Baldev (Vishal Vashishtha) and Veera’s (Digangana Suryavanshi) relationship. With the entry of Inspector Rajveer Thakur (Vivek Dahiya) as a prospective groom for Veera, things have become a bit complicated in the lovers’ paradise.

Ranvi wants Veera to consider Rajveer as her life partner ‘coz he objects her alliance with Baldev. On the other hand, Baldev’s mother – Bansuri (Vishavpreet Kaur) is all set to introduce a new girl in her son’s life too. Bansuri’s childhood friend’s daughter Simran will soon make an entry in the show. Bansuri will try hitching Baldev and Simran together, but with Veera in the background things will get difficult. While Baldev is disinterested in getting acquainted with Simran, his mother will create scenarios where he is forced to be in her company. Obviously, Veera will misunderstand Baldev’s intentions, but how will she react remains to be seen.

The Pakistani actor and VJ has several accolades to her career and we are sure very soon Bollywood will also pin its hopes on her

Born on December 21, 1982, Mahira Khan is a popular Pakistani actress, who started her career as a VJ. Her debut show on Pakistani TV, Humsafar, is all set to premiere in India on Zindagi channel tonight at 8pm.

Movies

Mahira Khan started her career at the age of 16 as a VJ for MTV Pakistan ‘coz of which she bagged offers to host award shows. In 2011, she made her debut in Pakistani movie Bol, which won her several accolades. It was recorded has the highest grossing movie in Pakistan.

Television

She started her television career with the serial titled Neeyat where she played the character of a rebellious girl Aaliya opposite Humayun Saeed and Ahsan Khan. Her next show was opposite Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan in Humsafar, which was based on Farhat Ishtiaq’s novel with the same title. The chemistry between the two actors was praised to the hilt, so much so that the duo has decided to work together again. In fact they have signed up for a new show titled Mol, which is still in pre-production stages. In 2012 she signed up for a new show titled Shehr-e-Zaat, which took her further up the ladder where she was crowned as one of the number one actresses on Pakistani TV.

Marriage

Mahira met her beau during her vacations. They fell in love and got married on July 13, 2007. Now they have two children – a boy and a girl.

Awards

The actor won three awards for her role in Humsafar – Pakistan Media Award for Best Actress, Hum Award for Best On Screen Couple and Lux Style Award for Best drama Actress. Mahira also won Hum Award for Best Actress for her role in Shehr-e-Zaat.
