Singer Ali Quli Mirza is all set to make a grand wild card entry in Bigg Boss 8. We caught up with him just hours before he entered the house of horrors. In candid conversation, he opened up about his game plan, his favourite contestants and more…

First things first. Why Bigg Boss?

Why not Bigg Boss? I have always been a fan of this show. So when they offered me to be a part of it, I couldn’t refuse. I want to connect to my fans through Bigg Boss, which is like the mother of all reality shows in India.

There is a buzz that you are going to be rude and mean to everyone inside the house…

See I am an entertaining person, my aim would to be entertain everyone. If someone is good to me, I’ll be good as well. However, if anyone tries to act smart, I’ll be over smart. Jo jaisi ball phekega, waisa shot lagega.

Amongst all the current contestants, who is your favourite?

I really like Praneet (Bhatt). I have done a film with Aarya (Babbar). I have also done quite a few shows with Karishma (Tanna) and Minissha (Lamba). I have worked out with Puneet (Issar). So basically, I know a lot of them personally. I don’t think I will have any problems with them. It also depends on how they will play the game.

But there must be one person, who you must dislike?

See they all are playing it very safe till now. So even I haven’t been able to judge them properly. And honestly, I don’t want to go inside with any negative energies.

There are quite a few girls inside the house. If you had to romance anyone of them, who would it be?

I will romance each and every girl there. On Monday, I will romance Karishma, Tuesday it will be Sonali, Wednesday will be Diandra. So yeah, I would romance every girl, so that no one feels left out (Laughs).

Who is your favourite contestant amongst the previous seasons of Bigg Boss?

Gauhar Khan from last season. I really liked the way she conducted herself inside the house.

Going by the history of Bigg Boss, none of the wild card entries have been able to win the show. Do you think you will be able to break that?

I would definitely try to. I come from a very small village, but today, I have made a name for myself in the music industry. Bachpan se maine impossible ko possible kiya hai. So I hope I will be able to break that myth and win Bigg Boss season 8.

You are said to be quite close to the host Salman Khan. Did he give you any tips?

He has always been very supportive. I will soon be making my Bollywood debut with the film Roar, the trailer of which was launched by Salman sir. So he has always been there. As far as tips are concerned, he just asked me to be myself.

Zain’s mother had killed Rehaan’s wife in a car accident

Previously we had reported that Rehaan (Nandish Sandhu) exposed Surraiya (Suchitra Pillai) for kidnapping Bilal (Neil Motwani) minutes before his wedding with Aaliya (Preetika Rao); reason being she didn’t want Aaliya back in her house which would have happened if Bilal married her.

In yesterday’s episode, Nafisa revealed to Surraiya that she is the actual culprit behind Usman’s death and not Aaliya. A shocked Surraiya slapped Nafisa (Gunjan Vijaya) and rushed to Aaliya’s house to apologise. Zain’s (Harshad Arora) love interest forgave Surraiya, however, she soon realised that Surraiya has some connection with Rehaan’s wife, Rida’s, accident.

Though Rehaan believes that even though it was an accident Surraiya should be punished for her crime. He gets Surraiya arrested. Moreover, Rehaan will also divorce Aaliya for the second time. How will Zain react to her mother’s arrest? Will this affect Zain’s relationship with Aaliya? Stay tuned to find out!

Akshara hasn’t been feeling well since the past few days

Previously we had reported that an unknown woman claimed to be Naksh’s (Shivansh Kotia) real mother. Akshara (Hina Khan) and Naitik (Karan Mehra) tried a lot to convince her that they are Naksh’s real parents but that woman didn’t budge one bit. Later they got a DNA test done which proved that Naksh is Naitik and Akshara’s son.

In yesterday’s episode, Akshara wasn’t feeling well. Naitik was getting over protective about his wifey and asked her to rest for the whole day. After a while, Akshara refused to rest and got busy with the household chores. On the other hand, Naitik called Akshara 23 times from the office to check on her about her health. Awww…now that’s so sweet! Meanwhile she has also decided to fast on Karva Chauth for Naitik.

In tonight’s episode, Akshara will search for her sargi (food to be consumed before the fast) early in the morning, however, will be unable to find it. Will Naitik let Akshara keep the Karva Chauth? Will this affect her health even further? Watch tonight’s episode to find out!

Shlok overheard Niranjan when he was admitting all his crimes in front of Aastha

Previously we had reported that Aastha (Shrenu Parikh) caught Niranjan (Manish Wadhwa) with the goons who had kidnapped her. She recorded their entire conversation and sent to Shlok (Avinash Sachdev), though Shlok was unable to watch the video as Niranjan deleted the MMS from his phone.

In yesterday’s episode, a few goons kidnapped Aastha and took her to the ground where ‘Ravan Dahan’ was organised. Niranjan asked the goons to tie Aastha on the back side of the Ravana statue so that even she gets burnt with it. Though Aastha tried to convince Nirajan to let her go, Shlok’s father didn’t budge and confessed all his crimes.

In tonight’s episode, Shlok will hear the entire conversation between Niranjan and Aastha. He would finally realise that Aastha was right and his father was on the culprit. Will Shlok forgive Niranjan despite being aware about his ill intentions? Will Aastha and Shlok reunite? Watch tonight’s episode to find out!

Every task brings with it some drama, action, fun and blame-games – this one is no different

The first leg of the luxury task got over with the Super Villains disrupting the sleep of the Super Heroes post 2:45 am last night. But the task is far from over. In tonight’s episode, the second leg of the task will create more havoc, so much so that Bigg Boss is forced to call off the task.

However, Diandra Soares apparently pushes and shoves Sonali who loses her cool. She approaches Bigg Boss asking for an immediate disqualification. Sonali is adamant that Bigg Boss has to take action against Diandra Soares. She packs her bags and sits in the garden area in the hope that Bigg Boss will adhere to her wishes. In fact, her entire team goes ona hunger strike to make sure that Sonali gets justice. Bigg Boss calls Sonali to the confession room and justifies himself and explains how he disagrees with her. But Sonali claims that she would prefer to go back home and lead a peaceful life instead of being tortured in the house.

Misunderstanding and confusions to keep the couple apart – now that truly blows!

In the recent episode of Kumkum Bhagya we saw how Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia) bashes up the corporator, Neel Thakur (Neel Motwani), mercilessly and then gets arrested for his actions. However, Abhi thinks his celebrity status will easily get him out.

In the upcoming episode, Pragya (Sriti Jha) gives a false statement that prolongs Abhi’s stay in prison. This further sours Abhi and Pragya’s relationship as he believes that his wife purposely gives a false statement to seek revenge. What he isn’t aware of is that Pragya learns that Abhi’s life will be in danger if he comes out, so in order to keep him safe she makes sure that Abhi stays in prison. Without knowing her reasons, Abhi and his family lash out at Pragya and accuse her of incriminating her husband falsely, especially considering he beat up the corporator to save Pragya’s Kumkum Bhagya marriage hall.

Just a few weeks back, the quiz show got its first mahacrorepati and here’s another one

Kaun Banega Crorepati 8 will soon witness its first female crorepati, who bagged one crore after skillfully playing the quiz show and answering all the questions correctly.

The winner who received this award is Megha Patil – a housewife and tuition teacher from Vasai. Sadly, Mrs Megha is suffering from terminal cancer. The contestant further claims that she tried very hard to be on the show and wanted to earn the whooping amount to safeguard the future of her children. Well Big B was indeed overwhelmed by Meghaji’s spirit to live and perform on Kaun Banega Crorepati 8.

Well it’s indeed an inspiration to see such skilled people beating all the odds of their life to achieve their goal. BollywoodLife congratulates Mrs Megha Patil on her big win.

All’s not well with the actor who plays a pivotal part in Aaliya and Zain’s love story

Beintehaa’s Rehaan aka Nandish Sandhu’s character is rumoured to go negative soon. Well the new turn of events has not gone down too well with Nandish. The actor apparently has been in talks with the production house – Fortune Productions- for a while now regarding the growth of his character, but what the actor was not ready for, was for it to go negative.

Sources claim that Nandish is unhappy with the way his character is shaping and has hence, decided to put down his papers. The production house is trying to convince him to stay back and the discussion is still on the table. Our source further claims that Beintehaa’s dipping TRPs are another reason for Nandish to consider not being a part of the show.

All our attempts to reach Nandish were ignored. Well looks like Rehaan’s chapter will soon come to a close in Beintehaa. Stay tuned to this space to find out more.

Super Heroes vs Super Villains 

The Super Heroes won the first leg of the luxury task by convincing people to join the team. Bigg Boss announced the second leg of the task and then the house turned into a fish market where each contestant was trying to speak louder than the other.

The Flag

So according to the task, Super Heroes has to save their flag and Super Villains had to uproot it and hoist their own flag in its place. As you can already imagine, everyone was crouched on the flag as the villains tried their best to uproot the task.

Karishma Tanna and Puneet Issar’s problem

From the start of the reality show, Karishma has been on an agenda to get the men in trouble. In any physical task – her first comment to the guys from the opposite team is to not touch her inappropriately – frankly we are sure none of them want to. But what is she trying to achieve by this. The guys afraid of a sexual harassment case stay away. Puneet participates the least in any given task, which is rather unfair. While he claims it’s ‘coz his involvement may not be appreciated by the opposite sex. Ahem… ahem… frankly, we don’t even know how to react to it.

Sonali vs Diandra

Sonali Raut came in with water to pour on people from the heroes team, but this did not go down too well with Diandra Soares. She instantly reacted with violence which upset the villains. Raised voices by Aarya didn’t help the matter either.

Satyagraha

Sonali claimed that she wanted justice or she is ready to leave the show. The villains’ team decided to revolt with a hunger strike – so Gandhi like, no? Well luckily for them it worked and Bigg Boss called in Sonali to hear her side of the story.

Bigg Boss’ verdict

At 5pm, after much deliberation, Bigg Boss decided to punish Diandra by nominating her to be eliminated. The evening ended with the entry of the new contestant Ali Quli Mirza – the first wild card entry who will also be made the captain of the house in the next episode.

All in all, the entire episode was a snooze fest. Yawn!

The media circuit was abuzz that SRK will finally let the bygones be bygones and appear on Bigg Boss 8. But fans will now be left disappointed

Shah Rukh Khan is leaving no stone unturned to promote Happy New Year, which also has Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah. From taking part in large scale concerts across cities in North America to having multi-city tours in India to even jumping onto the viral videos bandwagon, SRK is making sure that the Farah Khan directorial stays in the news until it hits the theatres this Diwali.

King Khan obviously hasn’t ignored the medium of television as well for he appeared on Kapil Sharma’s Comedy Nights with Kapil and Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati along with all his co-stars recently.

Since Bollywood’s badshah has been going all out for Happy New Year promotions, we were sure that he would do the impossible and make a presence on Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 8 as well. And considering both Salman and SRK dropped enough hints about HNY being promoted on the mother of all reality shows, it just added some more weight to all the speculations.

However, a source closely associated with HNY’s marketing team reveals that Shah Rukh won’t be promoting his Diwali release on the ongoing eighth season of the high voltage reality show courtesy his choc-a-bloc schedule.

We really wonder if SRK‘s busy schedule is the real reason or does he not want to share any space with his friend turned for or foe turned friend. What do you think BollywoodLifers?

Ishita has figured out who S Bhalla is and is now in a fix

So far on Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Raman (Karan Patel) has been trying really hard to impress Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) but somehow, everything he does goes wrong.

Ashok (Sangram Singh) and Sooraj, in the meanwhile, are relieved to know that Shagun (Anita Hassanandani) is not pregnant and rejoice having found a new way of defaming the Bhallas. Param informs the Khanna brothers that S Bhalla is in fact Ishita’s ex-receptionist, Sarika and that the child belongs to Romi. The evil brothers plan to reveal this during the next business conference to tarnish Raman’s image completely.

Mihika (Mihika Verma), on the other hand, finds the reports on Ashok’s table while she’s searching for a file. She immediately informs Ishita about it and also gives her a number that Ashok has jotted down at the back of the report. Shagun figures out that it is Sarika’s number and realises that Romi had been lying and hiding everything all along.

In the upcoming episode, Raman learns about this bit of information and lashes out at his younger brother beating him black and blue. Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) tries to explain the gravity of the situation to Romi and asks him to marry her, but Jr Bhalla refuses to do so. Romi claims that he cannot marry Sarika as he does not love her. Raman and Ishita threaten to throw Romi out of the house if he refuses to marry Sarika, while Mrs Santosh Bhalla claims that she will never accept Sarika as the bahu of the house. Raman refuses to support his family in finding a lawyer to defend Romi’s case. But later on gives in and calls up a lawyer, though he makes sure that no one knows of his involvement in it.

Now what will Ishita do; stand by what’s right or support her family? Will Raman back Ishita if she goes against the family? Wait and watch, is all we can say.

The show is currently under the scanner and the makers are doing their level best to keep it afloat

In the last episode of Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera we saw how Baldev (Vishal Vashishtha) uses his father’s money to buy Veera (Digangana Suryavanshi) a ring. While working in the field, she keeps the ring aside to avoid getting it muddy. Rajveer (Vivek Dahiya) accidentally drops the ring, but when he learns that it was a gift from Baldev, he hides it.

In the upcoming episode we will see Rajveer challenging Baldev for a football match. Well, what begins as a friendly match turns ugly when Rajveer falls and blames Baldev for playing a foul. Obviously, Baldev loses his cool and is all set to bash up Rajveer for calling him a cheater. Ranvijay (Shivin Narang) and Baldev’s father intervenes and blames it all on his son.

The match gets called off, but Baldev again comes out looking like the bad guy in front of Veera (Digangana Suryavanshi) and her brother Ranvi. Was this Rajveer’s plan all along? Will Ranvi try to hitch Veera and Rajveer? Stay tuned to this space to find out more.

The first wild card entry of Bigg Boss 8 is giving other housemates a nightmare

Ali Quli Mirza has made a wild card entry in Bigg Boss 8. And he has entered the Bigg Boss house with some advantages. Yes, the singer has become the first captain of the house. However, if you thought that this is the only advantage he has in the house of horrors, think again!

As he spends more hours in the house, it is soon becoming evident that there is more to his role.

As the day progressed, Bigg Boss called Ali to the confession room and gave him a special power. Bigg Boss told Ali that he was required to observe the house members and within the limits of the house rules. Basis his observation, Ali was then asked to nominate one person for next week’s elimination.

As the day progresses, Ali picks on various contestants and analyses their behaviour. But who will he choose for next week’s elimination? Let’s wait and watch…

Raima accidentally blurts Payal’s name which catches everybody’s attention

So far on EK Haseena Thi, we saw that the Goenka’s are celebrating Karva Chauth. Sakshi (Simone Singh) gets upset seeing Raima (Kishwar Marchant) at the party but when questioned by Durga, Sakshi pretends that all is well with her.

Shaurya (Vatsal Sheith), acting on his mother’s instructions, apologises to Dayal. But later, flirts with Durga (Sanjeeda Sheikh) saying that she will have to break her fast looking at him since Dev (Bhuvnesh Mann) might not come at all. Right on cue, Dev enters. The Karva Chauth rituals finally start. Since Raima and Rajnath (Ayub Khan) cannot openly participate in the rituals, they use Durga and Dev as a cover. While Durga is performing the arti, Raima stands behind her touching her shoulder and Rajnath stands right behind Dev. When Durga picks up the net to look at the moon and then her husband, Raima again takes advantage of standing behind Durga and looks at the moon through Durga’s net and then at Rajnath. Cleverly Raima and Rajnath manage everything but Sakshi, who is aware of their relationship, understands everything.

In the upcoming episode, Sakshi will finally make her move to expose Raima and Rajnath’s illegitimate relationship. The two best friends get into a heated argument and Raima accidentally blurts out that the Goenka’s would have been defamed if she wouldn’t have found Payal the other night. Though she stops half way through her sentence, Payal’s name was enough to grab everybody’s attention and Dev questions Riama about Payal.

Raima sure is in a tough spot now. But will she keep quite or spill the beans is something to look out for. Till then stay tuned!

The Comedy Nights With Kapil fame talks about his Gutthi avatar

Ask him about walking the ramp as Gutthi for Mandira Bedi and Sunil Grover says he had nothing to do with it.

He says, “It was entirely Gutthi’s decision to walk the ramp. I do not interfere in her decisions. When Mandira approached Gutthi to walk the ramp, she thought about it for exactly two seconds and said yes.”

Uh, what? Aren’t they the same person?

Sunil shrugs, “Gutthi has a life of her own. I don’t decide anything for her. I actually stand outside her and see her do things. I didn’t know she would dare to walk the ramp. Who knows what she will do next? She may head into the movies and become an actress.”

Was Gutthi nervous? Says Sunil, “Of course, she was!

Suppose she had fallen on her face?”

But on a more serious note, Sunil does admit that playing Gutthi on CNWK has been the best thing in his life. “It has brought out the feminine side in me. There is a Gutthi in all men, even heterosexual men.”

The actor doesn’t deny that he is sometimes tempted to leave Gutthi behind. “But whenever I don’t come as Gutthi, her fans are disappointed. Now even when I am dressed as Sunil Grover, people call out her name on the roads. So I don’t intend to abandon Gutthi… unless she begins to get over-the-top. The day I find her toppling into the zone of vulgarity, I’ll make her quit.”

Star Plus is gearing up for a new shift in their programming and schedules

The channel is all set to launch Ashutosh Gowariker’s Everest for some time now. However, due to the lack of slots the channel has kept the show on hold.

According to the recent updates, we hear that the channel has decided to draw the curtains on their popular show Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara starring Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar. Nakuul tweeted, “Never been a fan of ‘Good byes’. This one is going to be the hardest. #PyarKaDardHai.”

Well social networking sites are already flooded with requests to not end the show; sadly, their requests will not be paid heed to. We know the fans will miss the lovely pair of Aditya and Pankhuri, but we believe the show is all set to make way for a very interesting show that’s never been done on Indian television ever.

Zing has roped in Bollywood celebrity Rhea Chakraborty in this special episode of Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya season 2

Rhea Chakraborty will be playing the character of Sonali from her upcoming film Sonali Cable.

This week’s story involves Mukti (Sehrish Ali), a simple down to earth girl hailing from a middle class background in Meerut. She aspires to be an actress but when she gets the opportunity; her orthodox parents disapprove of her choice and line of field. In order to avoid a similar episode, her parents get her married in haste to their family friend’s son, Vikas (Avinash Mukherjee).

Even though Mukti is heartbroken she doesn’t give up on her dreams. Post the wedding, she is unable to accept Vikas or let him near her. Vikas tries his level best to understand Mukti’s dilemma and thought process. Finally, he approaches her friend Sonali to help understand his wife better. Once he solves the mystery, Vikas takes it on himself to fulfill Mukti’s dreams. He leaves for Mumbai in pursuit of her dreams. But will Mukti realise Vikas’ care and concern? Or will she ignore his love and sacrifice? Will Sonali bring Vikas and Mukti together?

Four Lions Films’ new show is interesting and the chemistry between the leads is amazing

In the last episode of Humsafars we saw the growing closeness between Sahir (Harshad Chopda) and Arzoo (Shivya Pathania). There is no doubt that Arzoo, who is living with her boss, is extremely talented. This irks Anam (Payal Rohatgi) ‘coz she sees Sahir appreciating Arzoo’s work. Anam takes it as an insult and wants to teach Arzoo a lesson.

In the upcoming episode, Anam will order Arzoo to go to the pub and collect some cloth samples. She will claim that it is Sahir’s order, which obviously cannot be ignored. What Arzoo doesn’t know is that the pub is hosting an illegal rave party. Anam then sends the cops to arrest her.

When Zuki (Sehban Azim) learns of Anam’s plan to humiliate Arzoo, he goes in to rescue her. Unfortunately, the cops come in at the same time and both Arzoo and Zuki get caught in the surprise raid. Will Sahir believe in Arzoo and Zuki’s innocence? Will he try to save them from the cops?

Here is our recap of tonight’s episode of Bigg Boss 8

Even as the Bigg Boss housemates were recuperating from the aftershocks of the luxury budget task, Ali Quli Mirza, the Wild Card entry of Bigg Boss 8, made his way into the house. As soon as he enters, Bigg Boss announces him the captain of the house. Both shocked and surprised, the housemates welcome Ali with smiling faces, but little do they know that everything is just about to turn topsy-turvy.

Modiji would be proud

The day kicks off with the song My Name Is Ali and Ali ensures his name remains the hot topic of the day as well. Being the first captain of of Bigg Boss 8, Ali takes his responsibility seriously and inspects the entire house. Seeing that it was quite messy, Ali, taking a cue from PM Narendra Modi’s Swacchh Bharat campaign launches an obsessive Swachhata Abhiyaan while allotting every member of the house to one responsibility that they would need to own with all their heart.

Sushant hates Ali

As the cleanliness drive continues, Bigg Boss gives Ali one more power which he takes full advantage of. Ali was given the power to send one co-contestant directly in the danger zone for next week’s elimination. And he chose Sushant Divgikar. Of course, this didn’t go down too well with Sushant, who later confessed to Soni that he is getting negative vibes from Ali. The game has taken an interesting turn indeed.

Pritam and Gautam on cloud 9

As the tired contestants curled in for a relaxing evening, Bigg Boss introduces the Atyachaar task which changes some equations amongst housemates. The servants of the house (Pritam Singh, Puneet Issar and Gautam Gulati) got a chance to put someone else in their place and they took complete advantage of it. And, of course, as captain, Ali got to have the final say. He freed Gautam and Pritam off their servant role and assigned Minissha Lamba and Arya Babbar the same.

Puneet becomes a villain again

Puneet had become a national villain after that Coolie incident with Amitabh Bachchan. And now he has become the bad man of the Bigg Boss house with some of the contestants including his friends, Pritam and Praneet Bhatt thinking that he is playing games. According to them, Puneet is siding with Ali only to be in his good books. Well well, and we agree with that too. The man knows his cards very well, we guess.

Ali’s other side

With the various roles and decisions that Ali has taken during the course of the day, everyone in the house is talking about him. However, Ali ensures that while he takes harsh decisions, he also entertains certain co-contestants as he sings songs throughout the day. But will Ali’s charm and charisma overpower his firm captaincy? Will the contestants warm up to him? Only time will tell and of course, we will too.
