Buzz is that she will be arrested in the coming episodes

The High Court had granted the producer anticipatory bail in the case…
Pratyusha Banerjee killed herself by hanging from a ceiling fan in her apartment on April 1. While initial reports suggested that she had committed suicide after finding out that her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh was cheating on her, the police and the prosecutors suspected foul play. After all the evidence was gathered and submitted, the High Court granted Rahul an anticipatory bail in the case.
This left the actress’ parents disappointed. They sent a mail to the Union Minister Rajnath Singh and he said he will look into the matter. However, in the meanwhile, the prosecutor has filed an appeal in the Supreme court to hear this sensitive case.
Nilesh Pawaskar, the Special Public Prosecutor for the case, has recommended the police to challenge the anticipatory bail given by the Bombay High Court (HC) to the actress’ boyfriend Rahul. In his petition, the prosecutor slammed HC for approving his bail application without considering the gravity of the offence.
Nilesh told a leading website, “Even though Singh was booked by Bangur Nagar police on charges of abetment to commit suicide among other charges, there are several suspicious elements in the case which were overlooked by the police. Hence, it is important that Rahul Raj Singh should be tried on charges of murder, culpable homicide and forcing a woman to promote miscarriage or abortion and should be sentenced for imprisonment as prescribed in the law.”
In his petition he even mentioned how the High Court overlooked many crucial evidences that they had submitted. As he wrote, “I tried my best to secure police custody for Rahul during arguments. My scrutiny of the case report brought to my notice that Banerjee was tremendously tortured by the accused, the accused had relations with many women where he allegedly used their money and fled. The police investigation is also not up to the mark as many facts are hidden and were unobserved by the HC. The court has failed to notice that the accused is involved in abeting the deceased to commit suicide. Instead of granting custodial interrogation, they awarded him bail.”
The prosecutor even alleged that Rahul forced Pratyusha to abort the child and even revealed that the producer may have tampered with the evidence. “The last telephone conversation between Pratyusha Banerjee and Rahul Raj Singh clears all doubts, where the deceased told Singh that she was tortured, harassed and forced to commit abortion. Her statement “ab baccha kaha se vapas aayega” specifies that she was willing to have kids but he forced her to abort it. Rahul, who is either a drug addict or peddler, alleged that Banerjee was drunk at the time of the suicide but the police have not found liquor bottles from the spot. Statements of the witnesses are not recorded properly by the police and Rahul has allegedly created witnesses before the incident. He has tampered with evidences and after taking Banerjee’s cellphone from the hospital, he absconded from the police for a long time.” concluded the lawyer.

The entry of Mohit Raina in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat did not have a great impact on the ratings of the show.
A few days ago Sasural Simar Ka earned fame even with those who hadn’t heard of the show. They made a promo inspired by Game Of Thrones Hall of Faces. Fans of the cult series were damn upset that the makers did not show an iota of respect for the epic show. They trolled Sasural Simar Ka while some demanded that action be taken against them for copyright violations. Well, none of that happened but the TRPs showed that the introduction of Chandramani (Vindhya Tiwari) has not gone down well with all. And now, if Game of Thrones was not enough for inspiration, the makers have taken a clue from SS Rajamouli’s zany laugh riot, Eega, which was dubbed in Hindi as Makkhi.
In the coming episodes, a sage will curse Simar (Dipika Kakkar) and she will become a fly. In the film, actor Nani’s soul is trapped into the insect after Sudeep, the villain kills him. Here, a sage will curse Simar. We don’t know why she will be cursed but she will visit the Bharadwaj family in insect form. After Naagin, dayan, Patali Devi, Shaitan and Chandramani, the makers have opted for a relatively lesser vile stuff. We must say Sasural Simar Ka is now Sasural Supernatural Ka. Just wonder what is next on the show? Simar transforming into a flying unicorn? Even more interesting is where the next inspiration will come from?
2016 is turning out to be the year of matrimonials on TV
It is wedding bells for Dheeraj Dhoopar and Vinny Arora. The two have been dating since 2010. They first met on the sets of the show Mata Pitah Ke Charnon Mein Swarg and bonded since then. The wedding will take place in Delhi in the second week of November. It will be a grand traditional Punjabi affair. It will be followed by a big reception in Mumbai for all their industry friends. Dheeraj plays the role of Prem in Sasural Simar Ka while Vinny is seen on Udaan as Chakor’s (Meera Deosthale) rival on Udaan. The actor was quiet secretive about his relationship in the initial stages. He told people that he was dating an actress but refused to divulge her name.
The actor told an entertainment portal, “The date is not fixed as yet. We will get hitched in the second week of November.” Prem will take 10 days leave from the show for his nuptials.
Dheeraj who replaced Shoaib Ibrahim as Prem on the show has gained a lot of popularity amongst fans. People love his chemistry with Dipika Kakkar. Prem is also much loved by all the supernatural women on the show starting from the naagin to the dayan and Patali Devi. We wonder if any of them will be gracing his wedding. Stay tuned for more updates
It was celebration time for Kapil Sharma and his gang when the TRP rating came out last week. The inaugural episode got a TRP of 3 as compared to Colors’ Bajirao Mastani’s 2.4. A week later, the tables have turned. The game-changer has been India’s Got Talent which is the No. 1 non-fiction show for Week 18. Sony TV’s The Kapil Sharma Show got a TRP of 1.9 while it got 2.3 on the charts.
One of the things that worked in its favour was the novelty factor. It was the inaugural episode of the current season and that is always a reason for excitement. Tiger Shroff’s presence also lifted up the show to a great extent. The action star made full use of the platform to show his ‘kick’-ass moves and flexibility. He was clearly more at home there than in a comedy show.
Besides, there were many daredevil and creative acts put together by the contestants. The slot of 9pm is proving to be a really competitive one. We have So You Think You Can Dance on &TV, India’ s Got Talent on Colors and The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony TV. Plus, there is Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on Zee TV. Now, aficionados of dance or music will surely prefer those shows than a comedy one. And the same set of celebrities is hopping from one show to another. With stars losing novelty, non-fiction shows have to sustain on talent and content alone!
The handsome actor is anchoring Mann Main Vishwass Hai on Sony TV
After winning countless hearts with his earnest portrayal of Ranveer Vaghela in Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi, actor Shakti Arora is back on TV. He is presently hosting Mann Main Vishwass Hai on Sony TV. The actor narrates stories of faith in real life stories recreated for the small screen. Shakti, who is back from a break in Singapore told us that he is a spiritual person and prays on a regular basis. Though he’s a Hindu by birth he also believes in Jesus Christ.
Shooting at a dargah near Mira Road, the actor looked dapper in a white Patiala. It was a scorching summer day but Shakti was in a totally relaxed mood. He confessed that learning Sanskrit has not been an easy task. He also said that the show was a spiritually rewarding experience.
When we asked Shakti about his participation in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, he said that talks were still on and nothing was confirmed so far. He said that he enjoyed watching the show and would like to show off his dancing skills.
We asked Shakti a few questions about faith and religion. The actor firmly believes that faith is a totally different from religion. He also spoke about its importance in a cynical world. The actor was also full of praise about the positive message coming from the show. Check out the full interview below…
Dangerous curves ahead. We feel Mouni Roy should post this warning every time she posts a picture on her Instagram account. The lovely lady is chilling in Goa with a close friend and she shared a very holiday picture, which was loaded with the oomph quotient. The lady who looks equally ravishing in a sari or lehenga made our jaws drop in this shorts and tube top outfit. With her hair left open and a pair of shades in hand, she was one hot Instagrammer.
This summer, Mouni has given us numerous fashion goals. From oversized glares to colourful dresses/playsuits and tunics, her wardrobe is indeed an envious one. The lady has admitted that she takes care of how she looks and that’s proven time and again. Her outfits in So You Think You Can Dance are also nice.
In this super hot snap, we just cannot help but admire how fit she is. The lady has a lithe toned body, which is a result of her passion for dance. A Kathak exponent, Mouni does Riyaaz on a regular basis. We guess she does not need anything more.
With her snaps, the Naagin can give any Bollywood diva a run for their money. While it’s easy to set style goals once a in a blue moon, making us swoon almost every day I no mean feat. It is not only the guys who are crushing over Shivanya but girls too find her extremely appealing. Is Mouni the hottest TV diva ever?
According to reports, the media personnel were disappointed by the couple’s reluctance to give pictures
Actor Siddhant Karnick’s sudden engagement to Megha Gupta of Dream Girl fame came as a pleasant surprise. The couple spoke very little about their relationship to the media ever since the news of them dating leaked out. Last evening, Siddhant and Megha got engaged in US Club, Colaba. The ceremony was a close-knit affair with family and close friends in attendance. Very few celebrities from the TV industry very invited to the party. Since it was a private affair, even they refused to talk about it to the media.
According to a report in an entertainment portal, a number of media personnel had reached the venue. They wanted to click a few pictures of the much-in-love couple. However, Megha and Siddhant wanted to keep it private and hence did not give bytes or pose for pictures. The celeb guests also walked in directly without giving red carpet pictures as it’s the norm in such occasions.
It seems things got worse when navy police officers came there and asked the media to leave. The area comes under surveillance of defence forces. Officers told the media to leave and even threatened to confiscate their equipment. Despite repeated requests, the police told them to leave the spot. They were told that outsiders were strictly not allowed inside the party. Naturally upset, the media spoke about how the couple could have taken out five minutes to come out for pictures.
We caught up with the handsome actor on this special occasion…
It was a hot sunny day but the long drive was an exciting one. Meeting Shakti Arora is always a pleasure. Warm, charming and humorous, the actor is one who charms you instantly. He was shooting for his current show Mann Main Vishwass Hai at Baba Gouhar Shah’s Dargah in Mira Road. Tucked away in a secluded spot with a backdrop of the hills, it was the most unusual location for cake-cutting. Dressed in a white Patiala and kurta, he looked dapper. His outing as a host is being appreciated by many. Faith is a topic close to the actor’s heart and the show deals with that. Throughout our stay, he played the perfect host making the waiting time an enjoyable one. There is buzz that he might be part of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa but the actor said that talks were still on.
On the personal front, he is just back from a holiday in Singapore, where he visited the famous theme part of Universal Studios. We also played a little rapid fire with the actor to know him better. The questions ranged from funny to personal to hypothetical ones. He answered all of them sportingly.
Watch the video to find out what kind of matrimonial ad Shakti would put out for himself and what is the naughtiest thing he’s done? Like Ranveer of Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi, he too is quite idealistic about certain things.
If you love sunglasses, you’ll simply die for their collection!
When you are under the glare, all you need is a pair of glares. These actors exemplify this point to the hilt. A pair of shades is a must-have accessory for every actor, especially in this scorching month. Check out these stylish pictures of our TV heroes in sexy shades…
Karan Patel The Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor is not one of the most style conscious men on TV but he loves his shades. From classic aviators to wayfarers and the colourful mercury glares, he carries off his glares like a boss. We can say his preference is quite classic but it’s the attitude that’s a killer one.
Karan Kundra The host of MTV Roadies and Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum actor loves clothes and accessories. He likes to style himself for most of his shows. Karan loves to experiment – check out the mercury glares with animal print rims. The style is the futuristic aviator. We also love the sports aviator in the third picture. The classic mercury aviators look great with the blue and white ensemble.
Aly Goni Romi of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein also has a huge fetish for sunglasses. We love the nerdy wayfarer frames in the third picture. Aly likes to experiment with frames and rims as it is evident from the snaps above. He loves it when his fans gift him glares. So, girls the way to Romi’s heart is through the eyes.
Suyyash Rai Boy, his collection has make anyone envious! On a recent trip to Morocco, Suyyash flaunted his eyewear with such aplomb that we wondering that did he pack more clothes or shades. In the second snap, Suyyash sports black retro glares in Mahatma Gandhi’s style. We also adore the vintage hippie retro circle framed sunglasses in the first picture. The mercury aviators with blue glass is also too cool.
Arjun Bijlani The Naagin actor is a classic aviator loyalist. The retro black one with traditional gold rims is a classic but we also love the funky vibe of the mercury green and blue glares. Gore gore mukhde pe kala kala chashmah!
Vishal Singh The style bhai of the TV industry loves fashion. A shopaholic, his wardrobe has too much of everything. We love the hippie John Lennon glares with circle frames in the first picture and the black retro aviators in the next one.
Shakti Arora The actor’s Instagram handle is proof of his eyewear love! We adore the Ray Ban aviator sunglasses with the brown lens in the first snap as well as the thick rimmed black sports aviator in the third snap.
Their gut instinct will tell them that she is alive…
We saw how Swara (Helly Shah) fell off the cliff into the river in Swaragini last week. The Maheshwari and Gadodia families will be distraught with the development, especially Sanskaar (Varun Kapoor). The entire family will be worried that he will go back to his previous mental condition that happened after the death of Kavita (Nikita Sharma). He will shut himself down thinking that he is guilty of her death.
Ragini (Tejaswi Prakash Wayagankar) will be also stressed. Both of them will refuse to believe that Swara is dead. However, the police will come to Maheshwari mansion and tell them that Rajat’s (Mohit Abrol) body has been recovered by Swara is missing. Sanskaar and Ragini will then launch a search operation for Swara. In the mean time, she will be at Sahil Sen Gupta’s (Anuj Sachdeva) residence recuperating. He will take good care of her. Swara will recollect her past in flash but Sahil will tell her to relax and calm down. He will drop her to the Baadi. Then, she will start living her life like a teenager and fall for Sahil.
There is buzz that Parineeta and Ragini will have a massive showdown where the latter will blame the eldest bahu for all the drama in their house. Stay tuned for more updates…
According to an entertainment portal, the fight escalated over creative differences
Karan Patel and controversy seems to go hand-in-hand. A few days back, there were reports of how he lost his temper when told to film a rain sequence for the show. If reports are anything to go by, then the actor had a massive showdown with the director of his show, Neeraj Baliyan over some creative issues. The actor had given a suggestion to the director, who flatly told him to mind his own business.
This irritated Karan who gave him a piece of his mind. A huge argument followed and the two nearly came to blows. Luckily, the crew intervened before the two could get physical. The actor stormed off the sets to his vanity van and refused to shoot. Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) also had to wait for a really long time.
However, good sense prevailed and the actor reportedly came out in some time to shoot the sequence. The director also patched up and things were back to normal.
When we got in touch with Karan spokesperson, she said that he won’t clarify as it is false news. However, he took to Twitter to clear his stance about the issue.
First, it was Kamya Punjabi’s love confession then the rain sequence drama, the month of May has surely turned its heat on Mr Raman Bhalla. Do you feel so? If yes, then let us know with your comments…
Last week, we saw how Rishi (Ssharad Malhotra) discovered that Pavan (Malhar Pandya) was actually having an affair with Saloni. He will however be worried about how to expose him in front of everyone. As we know, Pavan has managed to prove Saloni as his bhabhi before everyone.
Apparently, in the coming episodes Tannu (Kratika Sengar) will discover Pavan’s truth and call off her engagement. Rishi will be happy thinking that he has a chance. But Tannu won’t confess her love for Rishi thinking that he is engaged to Neha (Renee Dhyani). He will try to explain his feelings to her but she will be totally adamant.
Later on, we will see Rishi telling Tannu that he is leaving for the US. He will apologize to her for all the problems he has created for her. He will be tearful. In fact, Rishi’s father, Raj Singh Bedi also wants his son to go back to the US.
A distraught Tannu will then tell Rishi that she loves him as well. Will he cancel his engagement to Neha on hearing this? How will the Bedi family react to the news? There is a lot of drama in store.
Kasam is the story of two lovers, Rishi and Tannu who are joined by destiny. However, the world has different plans for them. The serial talks about how despite obstacles they always find each other.
He will do this in front of the Iyers and Bhallas!
It looks like there is a lot of heartbreak in store for Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) on Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. In the coming episodes, we will see Ishita coming to live with the Iyers as per her promise to Mihika (Avantika Hundal).
But Raman (Karan Patel) does not want Ishita to make a comeback into his life so he takes all clothes of Ishita and her photographs and throws them in the gallery. Both the Iyers and Bhallas come out to see the commotion and Mrs Bhalla requests Raman to calm down.
Then, he will burn all the stuff in front of them including Ishita, who will be devastated. He will put his hand on Shagun’s shoulder (Anita Hassanandani) and tell everyone that he’ll marry her. Ishita will be heart-broken but accept the decision due to her mistakes.
Adi will object to this decision and convey that to Shagun. She will scold him for interfering in their ‘adult’ matters and say that she is cool with marrying Raman.
On the other hand, we will see Nidhi (Pavitra Punia) rejoicing the news of IshRa’s celebration. She will tell Ruhaan/Ruhi (Aditi Bhatia) that their mission is accomplished. She will put a bindi on her forehead to mark this occasion. However, Ruhaan will be unhappy in her heart of hearts with this decision. The couple will also have a disagreement about Ruhaan’s contract with Raman and Mani’s (Sumeet Sachdev) companies. Adi will also find out about Ruhaan’s real identity as Ruhi but will be tensed knowing her intentions to separate IshRa. Stay tuned for more updates on the show…
It was a welcome break from her black Naagin avatar
She’s hot, beautiful and sultry. While we love her supernatural sass on Naagin, Adaa Khan gave us a glimpse of her traditional beauty in a Nauvari sari. The hot actress did a cameo in Yeh Vaada Raha, where she danced in traditional Maharashtrian style.
Juggling a couple of shows is no mean feat but Adaa managed to squeeze in time for this special appearance. She said, “It was a night shift after the Naagin pack-up, so the energy levels were very low. But when the song Deva Shree Ganesha started playing, we automatically felt energised. We were dancing with full gusto at 2 am or 3 am. It was fun.”
The actress, who is born in Mumbai did not find it tough to do traditional Maharashtrian dance. “I have being dancing with my friends in that manner during Ganpati,” she says.
She also quite enjoyed wearing the nauvari. She says, “I had worn the nauvari once for Life OK’s Diwali episode. But to wear it again with a different colour felt equally exciting – from the bindi to the hairstyle to the dress, everything was so Maharashtrian. I really loved it. And it was a great break from the look that I have in Naagin. I was really happy about it.”
Adaa says that it was fun to move from an extreme character like naagin to Maharastrian mulgi. “It was different, a good change and break from the usual costumes that I wear,” she opines.
The plot looks a bit similar to that of Anup Singh’s Qissa
Every year we have number of shows based in Punjab. Ashwini Yardi’s new show, Waaris is also set in the rural hinterland. It talks about two warring clans, the Pawanias and Bajwas. We are introduced to a stressed Amba Pawania (Aarti Singh), who is pregnant for the third time. She already has two daughters and is dreading the thought of having a third daughter. Family members and neighbours take continuous jibes at her for not being able to produce a male heir.
Her husband, Charan Pawania (Iqbal Khan) is okay with having daughters. However, he also believes that a male heir is necessary to retain peace and power. He is a hard-working, peace-loving and religious farmer. We are also introduced to his fiery and flirtatious brother, Jagan played by Akshay Dogra. The two brothers don’t share the same ideologies and the younger one is more power-hungry. On the occasion of Baisakhi, Charan wants to bury the differences between the Pawanias and Bajwas but he does not subscribe to that thought.
The episode ends with Charan getting attacked while driving through fields belonging to the Bajwa clan. Will he survive their bloodthirsty intentions? Iqbal Khan, as per some reports, has a cameo role in the series, so we don’t know for how long we will see him on the show.
Waaris has the feel of the JP Dutta films of the 80s – earthy, masculine and dramatic. The highlight is obviously the performances. Right from Iqbal to Aarti Singh, they are in fine form. The plot has resemblances to Anup Singh’s Qissa. Here the difference is instead of the father, it’s the mother who makes her daughter live like a son. According to the makers, it is based on the tradition of Bacha Posh, which is quite prevalent in Afghanistan and Pakistan. With supernatural sagas and family dramas ruling TV, Waaris has a newer theme. It remains to be seen how the makers keep up the tempo, which is quite good in the first episode.
