Sonarika Bhadoria’s cute face, lovely tresses and gentle demeanour made her the perfect Parvati for Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev. Fans of the show remember the actress’ work and onscreen charm till date, which is no mean feat since Mahadev (Mohit Raina) had a bevy of beauties like Mouni Roy (Devi Sati), Pooja Bose (Parvati) and Suhasi Goradia Dhami opposite him.

Two years post the show, Sonarika moved to the South Indian film industry and has a couple of Telugu films in her kitty. Her last film Speedunnodu got her good reviews as well. Life was hunky dory for her before her bikini pictures surfaced on the Internet. The girl who was enjoying her break on an island posted some snaps of her in a red bikini top and floral sarong. There is a picture of her in a yellow two piece as well. She looks happy, radiant, carefree and there’s nothing vulgar about the snaps. Yes, she might have flaunted her assets but which heroine hasn’t done so!

Sadly, Sonarika divine past came back to haunt her. The lady received a lot of hate messages within hours forcing her to delete the holiday pictures. Fans were aghast how a woman who played the Goddess Parvati could pose swimwear pictures. If only they had read up wiki and found that she’s a film actress, perhaps, they wouldn’t be so ‘hurt’. We wonder why Gurmeet Chaudhary was spared after he smooched, made love and indulged in mild BDSM in his debut film, Khamoshiyaan. Did fans forget that he was Lord Rama in his first show? Sonarika’s victimisation again showcases the sexism that runs through our veins.

She is not the only one. Actor Fardeen Khan who was labelled a hottie in his younger days became the butt of all jokes when people saw his plumper version. The actor gave it back and rightly so. The concept that celebrities should have a standard body is repulsive. Does his size really matter to any Tom, Dick or Harry? Before Fardeen, Aaliya Furniturewallah, Pooja Bedi’s daughter gave it back to body-shamers with a post that showed that she was mature beyond her years. We wish netizens showed half of her intelligence or sensitivity.

It is appalling to see how celebrities are meanly targeted by misguided fans. You might not believe us, but there are young TV actors who don’t upload their snaps with their real-life spouses/partners just because the hapless girls get abused by fans. All they want, are pictures of their favourite jodi.

Platforms like Instagram are used by celebrities to reach out to their fans. It is a platform to show their real side. Sonarika would never have dreamt that fans of Parvati would lash out at her in this manner. The lady nicely showed them the middle finger and kudos to her attitude. People who have brains smaller than a two-piece don’t deserve more.

But their alliance may come at a cost!

Our favourite Naagin is approaching its finale. The two extensions that the show got are being used wisely. The story has reached a point where the excitement and thrill is too much to handle. With Shivanya deprived of our super natural powers, we are rooting for her to win like never before. So what unfolded in today’s episode? Here is our review.

We had been eagerly waiting for the “main teri dushman” dance sequence on the show since weeks. We were afraid it may look out of place but we were wrong. Shivanya (Mouni Roy) steps into her dancing shoes and gives an magnificent performance and not just for the sake of entertainment of guests at her party. But it was a sly ploy to blow up Shesha (Adaa Khan) and Kabir’s (Rajat Tokas) cover who are posing as humans. On listening to the tune of the song charmer’s flute in the song, both Shesha and Kabir reveal their true avatar. A round of applause for Shivanya for her plan!

A fight ensues between the snake (Shesha) and mongoose (Kabir) while the Raheja family frantically searches for Amrita who they figure out has been kidnapped by Kabir. Ritik finally finds her locked in Kabir’s wardrobe. A doctor is able to save her from the poison.

Meanwhile, Shivanya rescues Shesha from Kabir as she couldn’t see her sister die. Kabir runs off to Guru Maa and kills her after realising her true intentions of keeping the naagmani for herself. (Let’s hope she is not resurrected again.) Shesha oversees this, and runs over to Yamini to update her.

The Raheja family except for Yamini (Sudha Chandran) finally makes peace with Shivanya and seeks her forgiveness. Yamini unsuccessfully attempts to threaten Shivanya.

Kabir arrives at the Raheja residence and holds the family hostage unless Ritik is handed over to him as he is the only one who could touch the nagmani. Ritik arrives and falls prey to Kabir’s deadly clutch. He is kidnapped and taken to the cave to retrieve the naagmani by Kabir.

Shivanya, after ages, calls out for Shesha and pleads to help her out and save Ritik. She reluctantly agrees. But their alliance may come at a cost! Let’s find out in the next episode together!

Kudos to Adaa Khan for outperforming everyone else in today’s episode! Sudha Chandran again impresses with witty antics. Rajat Tokas was evil personified in today’s episode. And Mouni…whoa! Kanika Kapoor also proves she’s a total sport!

The Calypso flavor has been evident in The Kapil Sharma Show since a couple of weeks. If Dwayne Bravo proved that he was a total rock-star in the last episode, Chris Gayle showed us he is no less. In tonight’s episode, we had Kanika Kapoor and Mika Singh along with the West Indian cricketer. Besides comedy, we also had a lot of music and dance on the show. Chris seemed to have been informed about the proceedings and he was happy to play around. The best part was the slightly flirty session between Chris and Kanika where the latter sang Do Lafzon Ki Hai Dil Ki Kahani for the powerful stroke-maker. He also returned the favour singing, ‘You are my Indian lover’.

There was the Deepika Padukone moment when Chris said he was a fan of the beauty. Kapil asked him if the whole of the West Indies was in love with the leggy beauty.

Mika Singh came on the show and there was a Swayamvar for Chris and him. Kiku Sharda, Sunil Grover and Sugandha Mishra were the prospective contestants. While Mika was charmed by Sugandha, Sunil’s banter in the West Indian accent was quite fun. The batsman also launched his book on the show. Mika Singh gifted Chris a chain.

The former Comedy Nights Live said that Navjot Sidhu was the best judge in the country while Kapil Sharma was the best comedian. We’re sure he loves his brother-like friend just too much. The episode ended with a final dance between Kanika and Chris. The singer looked ravishing in a white outfit and we’re not surprised that she charmed everyone.

The Housefull 3 cast had a gala time at the Madhuri Dixit’s dance reality show!

The Housefull 3 cast is going all out to promote their upcoming film, that will be releasing the next week. The man leads of the film, well minus Nargis Fakhri who is still on a break from Bollywood, had landed on the sets of So You Think You Can Dance to promote their film as well as dance with Madhuri

Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez and Lisa Haydon had a gala time at the show, the first episode of which was aired today, with the second part being aired tomorrow!

With people like Akshay, Riteish and Abhishek involved, do you think the episode will be morose? Not at all, as they made the an already lively show livelier with their antics! However the cherry on the cake was Lisa haydon, when she did a pole dance on Abhishek Bachchan!

So how did that happen? Well, Abhishek tried to pull Lisa’s leg, by claiming that she did a special training for pole dancing, and she is going to perform right there. Lisa, not the one to give up, asked him to start the moves. However, Riteish interjected by saying Abhishek will be the pole, because there can’t be a ‘longer pole than the Bachchans’! So Abhishek became the pole and Lisa Haydon danced around him. The expression on Jr Bachchan’s face was priceless!

There was also that moment when the stars were taught how to dance, though why would anyone want to teach Akshay to dance, when he is such a great dancer himself!

Since her show went off air, Sonarika has been busy working down South. She has been working in the Telugu film industry. Her last film Speedunnodu, which had her opposite Bellamkonda Sreenivas got her good reviews. Sonarika has a couple of films, Sarada and Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam both opposite Manchu Vishnu. The lady refused to comment on her relationship saying that it was her personal life and she would like to respect her privacy.

One of the highest TRP garnering shows of recent times, the supernatural drama Naagin, is coming to an end. The show starring Mouni Roy, Arjun Bijlani and Adaa Khan won hearts all over. The show was always intended to be a finite series, and yet was extended twice on popular demand. But now, with just 4 episodes left, everyone from the cast is feeling emotional. The shooting of the show has been wrapped up and Arjun, Adaa and Mouni took to social media to bid their last good bye to the show. We are getting emotional here looking at their last selfies from the sets of the show.

But probably the most emotional of all is Mouni, who plays the role of Shivanya on the show. This character has made her a household name. She took to Instagram and thanked the producer Ekta Kapoor with words filled with respect and love. She wrote “This is not just a thank you post, this was long overdue. Yesterday was the last day i role played Shivanya, one of the many characters she sketched in her life ,changed a lot of people s lives for better and no number of thank yous would ever be enough. Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi actress Radhika Madan has also brought a flat in the same building…

Just before Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur got hitched, news floated in that the doting would-be husband had seen a flat for them at a building named Parineeta in Juhu. The couple got a flat there, and some years later, it also became a love nest of sorts for Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput.

Now, news is actress Radhika Madan has brought a flat in the same building. The actress has confirmed the news. Great going, Radhika! Fans must be aware that she already owns a plush family home in Delhi.

The flat is a sea-facing one, a property that Radhika always dreamt of before moving to Mumbai. The lady could not finalise her home earlier as she was busy with her show. Travelling to the sets was also time-consuming.

The lady is now on a break and wants to utilize the time in doing up her interiors. She has reportedly consulted quite a few of them but is sure that her home will have her own personal touch. Since she’s a Bollywood buff, one of the rooms will have a filmi theme. Radhika is also thrilled that Vidya Balan and Shahid Kapoor are her neighbours.

Radhika, who belongs to Delhi was known as choreographer before Ekta Kapoor discovered her for Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi. She won all the Best Debutant Female Awards that year and her pairing with Shakti Arora was iconic.

It was very interesting to see the usually serious characters cracking jokes!

There was a time when we used to watch Kapil Sharma‘s show, because of the man and his jokes. Now the only thing watchable on his show is when the guests turn up, ‘cos that will make the rest of the buffoonery that’s happening on the show on minimum mode!

Before we get to that guest portion of the show, I would like to make a sincere request to the creative team of the show to please start writing better jokes for the starting skits or crap the whole damn thing! Despite the best efforts of the cast involved, none of the jibes make us laugh! And having potshots at people who have buckteeth is definitely not funny, especially in this era!

So like I said, the first skit was very sparsely funny and was more about Kapil Sharma in his cop avatar, slapping everyone! Haven’t we evolved from this kind of comedy yet?

But the episode redeemed itself when today’s guests, Sony’s CID team, with ACP Pradyuman (Shivaji Satam), Daya (Dayanand Shetty) and Abhijeet (Aditya Shrivastav) arrived on the show. It was very refreshing to see the usually serious actors (like ACP Pradyuman says, who can laugh when you see a dead body…Kapil quips, Siddhu paaji can!) to let their faces crack smiles as well as make fun of their own shows and characters. They often quoted their iconic lines kuch toh gadbad hai Daya or darwaza tod do! In fact even Kapil was having a ball of a time ribbing Daya about his fascination for breaking doors!

We also loved the portion where Abhijeet was at the tea shop and he doubts about every statement of the buyer. It’s little moments like this that made the show somewhat fun!

It’s almost 2 months since Pratyusha Banerjee ended her life committing suicide but her case still remains a mystery. Did boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh murder her? Was Pratyusha under the influence of drugs? Is her death a result of a prank gone wrong? Well, several such questions are constantly buzzing around the town speculating who is to be held responsible for her death. However, wait until you check out this latest update. Turns out Rahul Raj celebrated his 32nd birthday yesterday, despite being one of the main suspect in Pratyusha’s death case. Yes!

He did something really special on his birthday. But before you assume if that accounts to believing he’s already recovered from Pratyusha’s death then that’s not the case guys. Coz although Rahul celebrated his birthday but not like he threw a grand party. Instead, he helped the poor, as paying homage to his deceased girlfriend.

Speaking of which, Rahul in his interview said, “I just want my love to come and wish me. If she is not here, the day is very sad like any other day I am living in. I just want to prove our love was very pure. People have no right to put questions over my worship. I just want to shower blessings of poor on my baby love wherever she is.” According to a source close to him, “Rahul has not overcome from the past happening as he said, It’s  (his birthday) a special day for him but he is not celebrating and even refused to welcome cakes and gifts. He is just missing Pratyusha day and night.”

By now, everyone’s aware about AIB fame Tanmay Bhat’s controversial video mocking Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar. The video is nothing short of insulting the two legends and it’s trending for all the wrong reasons. In fact, celebs including Riteish Deshmukh and Anupam Kher were among the first ones’ to slam the standup comedian for his distasteful humour. However, wait until you check out what Sidharth Jadhav, who is a known face on Comedy Nights Bachao, has to say in reaction to this whole fuss surrounding this video.

In EXCLUSIVE conversation with BollywoodLife. Sidharth lashed out at Tanmay for being so insensitive towards such great personalities. He said, “His jokes have gone really below the belt. I am sorry but this cannot be called humour. Humour is not something where you end up insulting someone and laugh about it. I have never believed in this form of comedy and never will. How can he so directly target Lataji and Sachin who have given so much to this country? You cannot insult such great personalities and no way can it be justified. Just because you have freedom of speech doesn’t mean you say anything. Have some sense. You cannot stoop so low. I am not supporting this guy coz this is not even comedy.”

The Kapil Sharma fame Kiku Sharda too echoed similar thoughts saying Tanmay should apologise for demeaning Lataji and Sachin. Your thoughts?

Balika Vadhu is now gearing up for a love triangle between Nandini (Mahhi Vij), Amit (Avinash Sachdev) and Krish (Ruslaan Mumtaz).

Television serial Balika Vadhu has made its way to the Limca Books of Records as the longest running daily fiction soap in Hindi, with a run of over 2,000 episodes.

The show began by delving into the social issue of child marriages. It traced the life of young bride Anandi, whose life goes through ups and downs after she is married at a young age to Jagdish. Her trials and tribulations, and her fight against the social system forms the crux of the story, which has now moved to telling her the journey of her daughter Nandini.

“The show’s meaningful content, endearing story-line and inspirational characters have created a strong impact on the mind of the viewers. As the show enters the Limca Book of Records and achieves this brand new milestone, we would like to graciously thank our viewers for their everlasting support in making ‘Balika Vadhu’ an industry-wide benchmark,” Manisha Sharma, programming head of channel Colors, said in a statement.

As far as the current narrative is concerned, “Balika Vadhu” is now gearing up for a love triangle between Nandini (Mahhi Vij), Amit (Avinash Sachdev) and Krish (Ruslaan Mumtaz).

“We are very honoured and delighted that ‘Balika Vadhu’ has created a record for being the Longest Running Daily Soap and is featured in the ‘Limca Book of Records’,” said Sunjoy Waddhwa, chief managing director, Sphere Origins.

Now, this is just not fair…

Tanmay Bhatt of AIB has been receiving flak from all quarters for his disrespectful video on Lata Mangeshkar and Sachin Tendulkar. While the youth digs his ‘roasted’ humour, this attempt has made people see red. Well, it should be noted that Lata Mangeshkar is alive and could have chosen to react, which she did not (we appreciate that coz that would have given undue importance to him). However, what we saw last night was even more appalling. Veteran comedian Sudesh Lehri did a spoof on late ghazal maestro, Jagjit Singh on Comedy Nights Live. Now, that man is not even alive to raise an objection. We wonder if the team even knew that he had passed away.

For the uninitiated, he died in October 2011. Did the makers think it would not be fresh in public memory? Lehri imitated Jagjit Singh in a not so complimentary manner. We were watching the show with a few friends and everyone was aghast at how someone could make a funny impersonation the deceased without a tinge of embarrassment.

It is sad to see artistes being negligent of such sentiments in the name of entertainment. We were even more disappointed to see that no one raised an objection. Even Mika Singh who comes from the singer fraternity did not say anything. Many will agree that comedy shows nowadays lack genuine punches either due to poor writing or comic timing. But, pray what was the need to impersonate Jagjitji in a episode specializing in Nalla Awards?

Ayub Khan, Reena Kapoor and Mahira Khurrana put in good performances

Stories on two sisters are working well on Indian TV. Kumkum Bhagya and Swaragini being the two examples right now. Rashmi Sharma Telefilms is back with Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, a show based on the unwanted girl child, at least by the looks of it. Gradually, both the girls will fall in love with the same man, played by Vivian Dsena.

We are introduced to a well-to-do Punjabi family in Gurdaspur. The wife saves her newborn baby girl, who has been buried deep by her husband and mother-in-law. Angry, she swears that she will protect her daughter 24×7 and no one would dare touch her. Eight years later, the little infant has grown up to be Saumya (Mahira Khurrana), a lovely but lonely little child, who has never stepped outside her home. Does this premise remind you of the Room? The mother’s care borders on the verge of paranoia but the real reason has not been revealed so far.

Her father, Maninder played by Ayub Khan dotes on his younger daughter and refuses to even accept the existence of the older one. Speculations fly around about how his wife was already pregnant with her elder daughter before her marriage with him. A fist fight over this issue lands him in police custody but his wife, Nimi played by Reena Kapoor is worried about Saumya, who has stepped outside her home for the first time. The mother had warned her daughter against stepping out saying she would be kidnapped by chudails (witches) and we see a woman stalking Saumya.

Was it so murky about Saumya’s past that she is kept hidden away from the world? Is it her uncertain parentage or something more sensitive? The first episode has ended on a mysterious note and we really want to know the real reason behind Saumya’s social isolation.

The lead actors have put in a good show, especially Ayub Khan who has aced the hatred for the child. Mahira Khurrana looks innocent and you can feel her plight. The makers have not showcased Punjab in a touristy way but kept it very real.

Though convoluted, the show impresses with its sheer scale

Nagarjuna – Ek Yoddha is touted to be a different show on many levels. Unlike most daily soaps, it has a male-centric story. The production is a lavish one. The makers have roped in some interesting actors. And the content promises to be different.

Naagins have been ruling TV but here the story is about the mythical Naag Lok that is a part of Puranas and epics like Mahabharata. Astika (Nikitin Dheer) is a fierce Nag warrior who brings the Naagmani to Takshak, the ruler of Naag Lok. The power hungry Takshak wants to use its powers to rule over mankind and the heavens. Worried, Astika’s mother approaches Vasuki, a divine serpent to prevent the destruction of the world. He has to save Astika’s son born to his human wife, Pranali. The child has super powers and is one who can prevent the great war between serpents and humans. He saves the child who grows up in a human household. The story will later focus on his awareness of his super powers and the battle between the two kingdoms.

The makers have been greatly influenced by the Puranas and that’s evident in the names – Takshak, Astika and Vasuki. It has been shot outdoors unlike other soaps. Nikitin Dheer looks imposing as Astika, the fierce general while Manish Wadhwa and Shruti Ulfat are suited for their roles. Tomorrow, we will see the entry of the super hero Arjun (Anshuman Malhotra) on the show.

Kids will enjoy the grand sets, special effects and larger than life canvas of Nagarjuna. However, the story is convoluted and those unfamiliar with mythology won’t be able to find the co-relation. While the makers should be appreciated for not cutting costs, they need to make the story a little more for the layman.

The comedian has been heavily criticised for his offensive jokes…

Tanmay Bhat has been the talk of the day for the past two-three days. The comedian ran into controversy after posting a video on Snapchat where he mimicked Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar via the special face swap effect. While the jokes could have been hilarious, Tanmay became offensive and when he told that John Snow (Game of Thrones character) was also dead so she should also die, that was the limit. Comparing a veteran artiste as a person whose face has been in water for 8 days and portraying a National cricketing legend as an abusive and egoistic person wasn’t funny and everyone from the film and political fraternity , including fellow comedians have slammed him.

The latest one to protest this episode is veteran film-maker Subhash Ghai. The director is a person of vast knowledge and many actors take his advice, so what he says is very important. He mentioned in his Twitter, “People of india is terribly hurt by new comedy/jokes on elders icons the inspirations to generations. Learn to respect elders. Stop it here.”

He also mentioned that young comedians should learn how to joke around from Kapil Sharma and his show. As he tweeted further, “Kapil sharma show is most popular comedy show today- has he ever hurt anyone or disrespect seniors icons legends? Let’s learn from him.”

In the meanwhile, SpotBoyE got in touch with Lataji and she said that she hasn’t seen the video and doesn’t intend to also. However, sources close to her revealed that she was hurt by the jokes.

The lady will vow to separate the two and have Raman for herself…

In the coming episode of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, we will see Raman (Karan Patel) and Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) locked in a hotel room. In last night’s episode, we saw how a drunk Ishita and Raman have an argument in the party. He is upset at her decision to finally marry Mani (Sumit Sachdev). Post the argument, we will see Raman taking Ishita to a hotel room. There the duo will have a long drunken conversation in which their misunderstandings will clear out. Fans will get to see some nok-jhok and romance between the couple. Raman will be little emotional as well.

Tired, they will sleep on the same bed. Raman will take off his shirt and be seen in a vest. The next morning, Shagun (Anita Hassanandani) will find Raman and Ishita together. She will be furious and argue with him, who will say he is being misunderstood.

We have seen that Ishita has discovered that Romi (Aly Goni) and Ashok (Sangram Singh) are plotting against Raman much to her dismay. Shagun also does not want to leave the Bhallas so she uses Pihu (Ruhanika Dhawan) to manipulate Raman’s feelings. Ruhi/Ruhaan also don’t want the jodi to unite. The Kasam actor says he is not into flings

Everyone sat up and took notice when pictures of Ssharad Malhotra with actress Pooja Bisht did the rounds on Internet. There were speculations that the two are a couple. Ssharad is on a professional high with Kasam…Tere Pyaar Ki raking in good TRPs. Pooja is a former Splitsvilla contestant and has acted in Kalash: Ek Vishwas show on Life Ok.

Putting an end to speculations, Ssharad was quoted as saying, “We are getting to know each other and have great compatibility. Pooja is undemanding and easy-going. I am not into flings. I am dating her and taking each day as it comes.” The actor had earlier said that he was open to the idea of falling in love again and was waiting for that special person to make his heart go boom. It seems like he has found someone in Pooja.

The two have been holidaying with a group of friends who seem to know that the two have special feelings for each other. He also corrected people about his ‘debut on TV’

Amrita Rao who is now seen as Kalyani on Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai tied the knot recently with RJ Anmol. The two were dating since seven years and solemnized their relationship with a close-knit ceremony.

A few days back, it was reported that the popular RJ had been approached to be the host of the show, Life Ka Recharge. The programme would air on &TV, the same channel that has Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai. The comedy show deals with the theme of social media.

A source from the show had told an entertainment portal, “Anmol has been approached to host the show and the discussion with the makers is going on in full swing. The show is set to be shot exclusively in Jaipur. With social media as its muse, the show will spread laughter through satirical comedy presented through skits, gags, public opinions and unique characters that will ensure the audience roll with laughter.”

However, the radio host denied the rumours with a tweet. He also corrected people who said it was his TV debut as Anmol has been anchoring programmes on Sony/Star Sports since quite some time.

We will see a grand tandav dance by Ritik (Arjun Bijlani) and Shivanya (Mouni Roy). The latter will get back her supernatural powers post which there will be a grand face-off between Shesha and Shivanya.

The best is reserved for the time when Shivanya will take the form of Maa Kali to kill Yamini. It will be a spectacular sequence full of special effects with Shivanya transforming into the fierce form of Kaali.

Post that, Ritik will be saved and the two lovers will have an emotional reunion. The current season will end on a great note with Shivanya giving us good news. Yup, she will be pregnant much to the delight of Ritik and fans!
