No, it is not on Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain…

Shilpa Shinde is being sorely missed on TV. The lady acquired a cult following as Angoori on Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain and everyone was disappointed when she quit the show. Fans were hoping for her to make a comeback on the show but that did not materialise. Shubhangi Atre Poorey is the new Angoori. Though fans find her a competent actress, she has not been able to create Shilpa’s magic.

Now, the buzz is Shilpa is back as a Bhabhi. No, not on the classic show but on a web series. It will be on Happi – Fii, the YouTube channel of SAB TV. The actress is slated to be the main protagonist and she’ll be a Bhabhi.

TV fans will remember the huge controversy that broke out after her exit. The actress was issued summons by CINTAA and she refused to attend their meetings. Later, there were stories of how the producers and CINTAA banned her from the industry. This statement was later retracted by them. Shilpa also sought help from the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena who came out in support of her.

Web series is a new format, which is being tried out in India. Yash Raj Films came out it and so has Bindass with Girl In The City. Gul Khan is also producing a web series starring Barun Sobti, Karan Wahi and Surbhi Jyoti. Stay tuned for more updates…

It looks like she’s put Pearl V Puri behind…

Love, it seems, is brewing big time in the TV world. If reports are anything to go by, then Phir Bhi Na Maane…Badtameez Dil actress Asmita Sood has found love in model Sid Kumar.

Though her show was short-lived, the jodi of Abeer (Pearl V Puri) and Meher (Asmita Sood) gained a cult following. Fans gave them a moniker MehBeer seeing their crackling on-screen and off-screen friendship. Though they publicly said that they were good friends, everyone knew that PearMita were in love.

Sadly, their love story was as short-lived as the daily soap. Pearl’s rapidly-growing closeness with his new co-star Hiba Nawab on the sets of Meri Saasu Maa created a dent in their relationship. While Pearl denied being in love with Hiba, Asmita’s statement that he úsed to be’ a special friend but was a stranger now showed that she was indeed hurt.

The lady has reportedly found love in model Sid Kumar. Pictures of the couple on social media seem to suggest that there’s something special. However, Asmita refuted the stories saying, “I am not dating anyone and neither am I interested in. My focus is only work and I am working really hard to bag the right kind of project. Nothing else matters. ”

The lady is giving auditions and hopefully should be seen again on a TV show. The first half of the year has been extremely eventful relationship wise in the industry.

But not for Sanskar! Swara will come back only for her sister Ragini.

Fans of the Swara-Sanskar couple may now rejoice as the beloved jodi from Swaragini is about to come back together under the same roof. Just when we thought that Sahil (Anuj Sachdeva) was succeeding in making Swara (Helly Shah) fall in love with him, a twist in tale seems to be on its way.

While Swara has partially lost her memory and forgotten about having been married to Sanskar (Varun Kapoor) and her love for him, she will be convinced by her sister Ragini (Tejaswi Prakash Wayangankar) to come and stay with her at the Maheshwari house. Ragini, who wants to reunite Swara and Sanskar, will announce her fake pregnancy in the coming episodes. Everyone in the house will rejoice and insist that Swara should come and stay with them. On the pretext of getting some support from her sister, Ragini too will ask Swara to stay with her. As Swara hates Sanskar and thinks of him as a murderer, she will initially refuse to stay at the Maheshwari house. But later, her love for her pregnant sister will make her agree to it. However, she will insist on not sharing a room with Sanskar.

Meanwhile, Sanskar gets super excited about Swara’s arrival and decorates her room the way she used to like it. This i turn freaks out Swara and puts Ragini in a dilema. We are expecting this situation to definitely lend to some romantic and sweet Swara-Sanskar moments leading to their reunion.

The actor died to cardiac arrest…

Famous comic star Razzak Khan, who was last seen on Comedy Nights with Kapil, breathed his last breath today morning. The actor was unwell and suffered  a heart attack last night. He was rushed to the Holy Family in Bandra, but he didn’t recover. He passed away in the morning and it was his friend and co-actor Shahzad Khan who confirmed the news as he posted on Facebook,”Cardiac arrest due to which I lost my elder brother – Razzaq. Please pray for him.”

Razzak has worked with many stars including Salman Khan, Govinda and Shah Rukh Khan over the years. The last time he made an appearance on the screen was when he was part of Kapil Sharma’s show - Comedy Nights with Kapil.

A few entertainment portals spoke the family members of the Razzaq, who told them that Khan died in the Holy Family Hospital after having a heart attack. His son – Asad Khan is in Croatia currently and is on his way to India. After he arrives, the family will lay Razzaq in a cemetery on Thursday evening. May he rest in peace. We send our heart-felt condolences to his family and friends…

Kunj will take care of Twinkle and her baby after Kunj’s demise.

Tashan-E-Ishq seems to be gearing up for some interesting turns as Kunj will come back after his much-talked-about exit. However, he will come back with a different face.

We already know that Kunj (Siddhant Gupta) is slated to die in the coming episodes and the show will then go into a leap track. A web portal has revealed what can be expected further in the show. Twinkle (Jasmine Bhasin), who will be pregnant with Kunj’s baby, will be in a state of shock after Kunj’s death. But, instead of taking advantage of the situation, Yuvi (Zain Imam) will just comfort and support Twinkle in raising her baby. The two will continue to be close friends.

Yuvi’s mother, Anita (Anjali Mukhi), will go absconding. We will also find out that the whole plan of getting Kunj killed was devised by her.

Meanwhile, in a shocking twist, Kunj will make a comeback post leap, but with a new face. A doctor-wife of a deceased man will give Kunj her husband’s identity and face as she saves him. To make things entangled, this woman will fall in love with Kunj who will look just like her husband. But Kunj will have his memory intact. He will seek revenge from Twinkle as he will misunderstand her relationship with Yuvi.

Kajal Aggarwal posted a few pictures to express her happiness.

As movies release the lead actors tend to get busy with promotions. They promote their movie on every possible platform, be it on social media, interacting personally with their fans or making guest appearances on television shows. And that is exactly what Kajal Aggarwal and Randeep Hooda are up to these days.

As their movie Do Lafzon Ki Kahani is about to release, the duo has been talking about it on all media platforms, urging their fans to watch it. As part of the same promotions, Kajal and Randeep recently ended up on the sets of &TV’s So You Think You Can Dance – Ab India Ki Baari.

The dance reality show, that has known names like Madhuri Dixit Nene, Terence Lewis and Bosco Martis, last saw the cast of the upcoming movie Housefull 3 entertaining the viewers. Madhuri even fulfilled her longstanding wish of dancing to a Marathi song as Riteish Deshmukh accompanied her on stage.

This time it was Kajal Aggarwal’s turn to get her wish fulfilled as she was stunned by the timeless diva Madhuri Dixit Nene. Kajal even shared her excitement by posting pictures on her social networking site.

We also couldn’t help but notice that Kajal had taken special care to deck up for the show. While she has been making appearances in casual wear at other promotional events, the young beauty was dressed in an elegant olive-coloured dress, with her hair done up with some loose curls and minimal jewellery and makeup.

The second season of 24 will go on air on TV in the near future. There are a few new additions to the cast, one of the noted names being Sakshi Tanwar. It seems the makers were in two minds over Tabu and Sakshi. Both the actresses had auditioned for the role, that of Anil Kapoor’s boss and everyone loved their performances.

It seems the team of 24 weren’t aware that Sakshi had been signed on to play the role of Aamir Khan’s wife for Dangal. The lady showcased her excitement about playing a cop to the team and they were bowled over by her love for acting. Tabu, on the other hand, did not feel the similar amount of passion.

However, what apparently sealed the deal was Ekta Kapoor’s endorsement of Sakshi. The channel already airs a couple of shows of Ekta and they heard out her suggestions. Sakshi has done shows like Kahaani Ghar Ghai Kii and Bade Acche Lagte Hain with Ekta. The Balaji honcho vouched for Sakshi’s professionalism and commitment to her craft. At the same time, news of Sakshi being roped in for Dangal came out and everyone was convinced about having her on board.

Anil Kapoor’s 24 season 2 has actors like Rajesh Khera, who will be playing the part of a military officer. Hottie Surveen Chawla is also on board. The shooting will take place for 200 days at a stretch and the mission is bigger.

Ankita will play the role of a professor who tries to fight the corruption in the educational system.

Actress Ankita Bhargava will be soon seen playing a professor in a show by Nautanki Films that will be titled Vidya. The show will narrate the story of a girl caught up in the corrupt politics of an educational institute. The character will essay the hurdles that today’s corruption poses in front of the students as well as professors. Vidya will work towards bringing order to the otherwise chaotic educational system. It is basically a satire on the money-making business of international schools.

Ankita, who starts shooting today, did the pilot shoot for the show in January 2015. The show has been sanctioned DD prime time and will go on air in a few months.

A web portal has reported, “Ankita plays the titular role of Vidya, a teacher by profession. She is the main protagonist. But the cast that was supposed to be finalised for the show has been changed, except for Ankita. The casting for other roles has not been done yet. Everything is happening at the last minute.”

Ankita, who was last seen in the show Reporters, too has confirmed to the web portal saying, “Yes, I am a part of the show. It is a Nautanki films’ prestigious project. It is also something I have been waiting for to get materialised, since last year. I have always wanted to do roles that can make a difference. That is why I took up this show.”

Fawad Khan is hotness personified. And seems like his association with Karan Johar continues. The duo is all set to come together again, this time its not for a movie but for an award function. The actor will debut as a award show host in Bollywood with IIFA Rocks 2016 in Madrid alongside Karan. The Pakistani star will be hosting the IIFA gala. Now we know that Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar are returning as the hosts this year again. BollywoodLife also revealed some EXCLUSIVE details about the star performers this year. And now with Fawad joining the biggies like Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan, this award function only got hotter.

The Pakistani import is the new hot property of Bollywood and we cannot wait to see him impress his industry folks and fans with his charm and wit. With Karan for company we bet that Fawad will be super comfortable and we simply cannot wait to see what the two together bring on the stage. Bharti tweeted from the hospital that she was doing better.

As news of comedian Bharti Singh being hospitalised made news, her fans got a shock. This is the second time she has been admitted to a hospital. The last time was when she suffered a leg injury in October last year. This time, however, the reason was a more serious one. Bharti complained on Monday of severe chest pain and had to be rushed to Sanjeevani Hospital, Mumbai.

The comedian has been juggling the shoots of three shows; Comedy Nights Live, Comedy Nights Bachao and India’s Got Talent 7. This seems to have over-exhausted her. However, now she has been discharged from the hospital and plans to rest well at home.

Bharti has informed a leading daily, “I was suffering from severe cough and exhaustion due to extensive travelling. I have been attending a lot of weddings in the family and the work has been hectic, too.” Bharti is reportedly feeling better now.

Bharti even took to her social networking account on Tuesday itself to inform her fans that “All was okay” with her. A friend of hers put this picture up saying “Whattt ya bhartuuu??!! Get well soon …get out of the hospi#missyou#godblessyou”.

Bharti Singh rose to fame with the show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge as Lalli. She did not win but her styled was appreciated by many and she has been considered as an important celebrity in the comic fraternity.

But as everyone knows, with fame comes a lot of hard work! So we suggest Bharti to take it easy and look after herself for a while. Get well soon Bharti!

It will be a battle of the rockstars on the show

In the coming episodes, we will see Sahil (Anuj Sachdeva) trying win Swara’s (Helly Shah) love. The two will get closer as friends and Sanskar would be feeling rather jealous (Obviously so!). He will be distraught as Swara will be constantly referring to him as a murderer.

In a bid to get them closer and help Swara get back her memory, Lakshya (Namish Taneja) and Ragini (Tejaswi Prakash Wayagankar) will suggest that Sanskar (Varun Kapoor) takes on a rock-star’s look. The new character’s name will be reportedly Kishan (desi rockstar you see!).

A look is being finalised for Varun complete with a wig, necklaces, bracelets, colourful glares, etc. Swara will be intrigued by this mysterious rockstar and fall for his charms. The shoot for this track will begin in a few days. As of now, the stylists are making him try out varied looks. The actor won’t be using anything from his personal wardrobe for the look. It seems it will happen because Sanskar will challenge Sahil to win Swara’s love.

Tonight, we will see the Maheshwari family lashing out at Sharmishta (Parineeta Borthakur) for being pregnant at such age. Sujata (Sonica Handa) will publicly insult her. The packed flight made her feel claustrophobic.

Actress Kavita Kaushik was hit by a feeling of claustrophobia while she travelled by air from Jaipur to Mumbai. Very few people are aware that Kavita has a problem with claustrophobia, which is the irrational fear of closed spaces.

Kavita had earlier offered her front row seat to an elderly patient, after which she had been given a seat near the emergency exit. Although the seat had plenty of leg-room, Kavita couldn’t fight her phobia of the fear of being trapped in a closed space. So, she decided to divert her attention from suffocation by interacting with the air hostesses at the service area.

Kavita, who will be seen as an army doctor in her upcoming show Dr. Bhanumati on Duty, was quoted saying, “Very few people know that I’ve a slight issue of claustrophobia. The plane cabin was too hot and the flight all full, the emergency exit seat the staff provided me was although fine but I got a little uncomfortable so I preferred standing and chatting with the air hostesses and taking pictures with them for the entire flight. It was good fun actually.”

Looks like Dr. Bhanumati herself has some issues in real life! Meanwhile, the show Dr. Bhanumati on Duty, which has been getting delaying for a while will be finally airing on SAB TV from June 7.

The Balika Vadhu actress let go of her inhibitions on a holiday

There was an uproar a few days back when Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev actress Sonarika Bhadoria posted some of her bikini pictures online. The lady gave it back to her haters with a strongly worded post. Well, Sonarika is not alone, actress Neha Marda who is known as Gehna from Balika Vadhu also posted some of her bikini snaps online. Her transformation from a demure bahu to a sexy lady is quite stunning.

She was vacationing in Thailand with her husband, Ayushmann Agarwal. The lady seemed to be having a lot of fun soaking in the sun at the beaches. Neha has also posted a sexy picture of her in a two-piece in black and white. The other snaps have her in a bikini top with short pink skirt.

Sonarika got a lot of flak for her swimwear pictures as fans wrote hate mail criticising her sexy avatar. We don’t know how people will react to Neha’s pictures. In Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, the long pending meet of Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) and Raman (Karan Patel) has finally happened. They have been trying hard to show how much they hate each other, but in vain. Their love for each other is just too evident. Most of the characters have come face to face, but Ruhi aka Ruhaan (Aditi Bhatia) is yet to reveal herself in front of Raman and Ishita. So, viewers can rest assured that a lot of drama is yet to unfold in their favourite show.

She will intentionally fall from the stairs

The Tannu pregnancy drama will continue for some more time on the show. Post the revelation that she is responsible for the theft in the Mehra household, Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia) will thrown her out of the house. As we know she had accused Sarla (Supriya Shukla) for the theft.

Tannu, however won’t give up on her quest. She will try to win Abhi’s trust back. Tannu will risk the baby’s life by intentionally slipping down the stairs. She will be injured and rushed to the hospital by Abhi and Purab (Arijit Taneja).

The doctor will scold Abhi for not taking care of her. He will say that she is seven months pregnant and needs love and care. Abhi will feel extremely guilty about the whole thing and decide to marry Tannu. Pragya will know it’s her plan and will try to expose her drama.

We will see a showdown before Pragya and Tannu, where she will tell the latter that she will have nowhere to hide once her truth is out in front of everybody.

The Abhi-Tannu-Pragya has been dragging on since quite some now and fans are quite bored of the track. We will also see Daadi recovering under Pragya’s love and care. Highlights: 

It looks like the slew of new programmes have helped Sony Entertainment Television. After being in the bottom half for countless months, it has climbed to the fifth position. It recorded higher viewership than its earlier week.

Ekta Kapoor’s Kasam got a TRP of 2.3 on Colors. It is followed by Swaragini on 2.1. People are loving the chemistry between Rishi (Ssharad Malhotra) and Kratika Sengar (Tanu) and the growing viewership is taking it ahead.

After a rather thanda week 20, The Kapil Sharma Show increased its ratings and took it to 2 at par with India’s Got Talent.

Kartikey Raj will also enter the show as Chandu’s son Khajur.

The Kapil Sharma Show is about to welcome a new member in their team. It’s an old friend who has worked with the team earlier too in Comedy Nights With Kapil. Comedian Manju Sharma, who is known for her acts in FIR and as Girgit Mausi from Chidiya Ghar, will be cast as Chandan Prabhakar’s (Chandu) wife Thandai Devi on the show. The talented actress will enter the show in a bridal outfit and later continue to regularly appear as Chandu’s wife.

It will be revealed that Chandu’s wife was until now living in their village but has now come to the city with their child Khajoor. The character of Khajoor will be played by Kartikey Raj.

Looks like Kapil Sharma aka Kappu will now be free to flirt with Rochelle Rao aka Lottery without any disturbance as Thandai will keep a close watch on Chandu. But we are not very sure about Kappu’s love life yet as some rumours are doing the rounds. Buzz is that one more new entry is slated for the show in the coming days. This will be a special person in Kappu’s life and turn out to be his ultimate love interest.

The lady spoke EXCLUSIVELY to Bollywood Life about the recent setback due to injury

As the scary daayan in Kavach, Maheck Chahal has added some oomph to her horrific avatar. Sadly, the actress’ stint on the show now hangs in a limbo as she has badly injured herself. During a kick-boxing class, she had a ligament tear and a chip fracture in the right knee. She told us, “Yes, you can say my future on the show depends on my knee. My doctor has advised bed rest but I am going to shoot tomorrow. It is a serious injury and needs rest. I will do whatever I can. I am hoping to shoot atleast two to three hours a day. The team will try to adjust and take more close-ups instead of full body shots.”

When we asked her about her replacement on the show, she replied. “I am going to work tomorrow. I have not heard anything of that sort from the production house. I will take every day as it comes.”

The actress has been practicing kick-boxing from a long time and says she has been just unlucky this time round. She says, “The doctor has told me to rest for three weeks, strict bed rest. Then, I need to go to rehab and do physiotherapy to heal my knee. It is a long process.” In the meantime, co-star Vivek Dahiya and his would-be wife, Divyanka Tripathi sent across their get well soon messages for the sultry actress.

Helly Shah will be making her reality show debut with this show.

While Swara has become the centre of all activity in the show Swaragini, her brilliant dancing skills are being noticed on other shows as well. Reportedly, Helly Shah will soon be seen participating in the upcoming season of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa: Dancing with the Stars.

The young star who is making headlines with her outstanding acting as the distressed Swara, has shown her dancing skills in the show as well. On multiple occasions, she has been seen grooving with her on-screen husband Sanskar (Varun Kapoor). And we must say, that Helly has mesmerised her fans with her graceful movements and expressive face. The Gerua recreation by Swara and Sanskar was the most appreciated one, where Helly and Varun painted a really romantic picture of their on-screen love story. Helly has proven herself to be a complete package. And even the makers of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa seem to think so.

This will also be the first time that Helly will be seen in a reality show. So, Helly must be prepping up real hard to make it a success. Meanwhile, she is the second protagonist from a television show to have entered the dance reality show. The first one was actress Sanjeeda Shaikh, who is currently the lead in Ishq Ka Rang Safed.

The actor opens up on his short film on same-sex marriages

After Sushant Divgikar’s video blasting gay notions went viral, we have another television personality doing a short film on same sex marriages. Actor Amal Sehrawat, whom we know as Sangram Singh from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is starring in a short film on this issue that also has Alok Nath. It is produced by Nazar Battu Productions. He says, “I don’t know who is spreading the story that the film is titled Gay Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The title has not been finalized so far. I feel we have over-hyped the whole issue. People must understand that everyone is not the same and respect their choices. As an actor, I crave for versatility and this produced allowed me to step out of my comfort zone.”

He says that he does not believe in the stereotyping of actors, especially those in daily soaps. “As an artiste, I am passionate about the story and my character. My image is secondary,” he says.

Amal is also appreciative of the platform that YouTube provides for new content. “I feel the concept of short films and web series is brilliant. There is no censorship issue. If your content is good, people will share it. No wonder there is a huge demand for TV news on the Internet,” he opines.

Amal also has the highest regard for Alok Nath. “He is one of the best actors in the industry. I feel very lucky to share screen space with him,” he says.
