Comedy Nights Bachao review: Rakhi Sawant’s mock to Alia Bhatt and Alok Nath showered with sanskari jokes; the episode was overall meh!

There was barely anything to laugh about and whatever was quippy, it didn’t make us ROFL one bit.

Comedy Nights Bachao surely seems to be trying way too hard. There is nothing funny about the show and it’s just growing more absurd as the days go by. To add some spice to the otherwise boring celebrity burn sessions, this week they decided to call Alok Nath, Rakhi Sawant, Sofia Hayat, Aarti Chabria and more. And again, the show just made just cringe and wonder why we continue to watch the show irrespective of the fact it isn’t even doing well, TRP wise.

Today again, they decided to bring the house down with their binsult shenanigans. But no, the insults surely were quite ouch and it was sad to see that the celebs just sat there and fake laughed. I at least hoped that they fake laughed. Rakhi tried acting dumb but it didn’t quite seem like so Krushna Abhishek actually had to mention that she was being Alia Bhatt so we could get the joke. Oops, a bad move perhaps. Alok Nath too got jokes made on him with Anita Hassnandani trying to make a sanskari boy out of a character. That bit was so terrible that I’m not even sorry that I’m being tough here! Overall, the show was too meh and didn’t impress us one bit.

Did you like the episode? Tell us in the comments section below! And stay tuned to this space for latest gossips and news updates!

Vivek Dahiya: I have three beautiful women in my life – watch video

On a professional and personal high, the actor opened up in an exclusive chat

The year 2016 is proving to be a rocking one for Vivek Dahiya. No wonder, he looked super happy at the launch of Kavach this week. Dapper in a blazer and denims, the actor is quite an eye candy. He is extremely courteous as well. Now, we know why Divyanka Tripathi fell head over heels for him.

When we tell him he is in a dream situation to be romanced by three women, he laughs it off. “Yes, I have the pretty Mona and the hot Maheck on the show and the beautiful, Divyanka in real life,” he says. The actor says he does not believe in supernatural per se. Nor is he religious. But he does understand the attraction for supernatural themes in the country.

A fan of horror films, the actor says he got freaked out when Mona Singh played a prank on him on the sets. They were filming a scary sequence and the Jassi actress slid a spider down Vivek’s spine. It was a fake one but it did give him the heebie-jeebies. The actor says he is aware of haunted stories in Mumbai’s various studios where people are not allowed after dark.

After his debut with Veera, Vivek gained recognition as ACP Abhishek in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. Kavach is his big ticket show and can take his career to the next level. Here is the video interview…

Only Sakshi Tanvar and Mona Singh can carry off possessed roles says Ekta Kapoor

TV czarina Ekta Kapoor, whose new TV offering “Kawach…Kaali Shaktiyon Se” tells a tale of demonic possession, says the supernatural genre was missing from the world of television as “we haven’t been able to get the right kind of actors” for such shows.

“Kawach…”, starring actors like Mona Singh, Vivek Dahiya and Maheck Chahal, aired on Saturday.

“Basically, I was very clear that we need to do a show which has a totally new twist. ‘Naagin’ had created a whole new genre of folklore, snakes and gave a whole new visual appeal to television. So to do something which is of that calibre, I thought we would do something which is about possession,” Ekta told a news portal.”India hasn’t done possession nicely. I think internationally everyone has done it and we have not been able to do it on television we haven’t been able to get the right kind of actors,” she said.

Ekta also shared that getting the right actor is tough.

“It is very tough to get actors to do such shows…I was telling somebody that only Sakshi (Tanwar) and Mona can carry off Emily (from ‘The Exorcism of Emily Rose’) kind of roles in India,” said the popular producer, who is credited with ushering in new content on television off and on.

From bringing kitchen politics, ‘saas-bahu’ sagas to mature love stories on the small screen, she is now on a mission to fill the void of supernatural tales.

While the small screen might be working towards decoding the genre, she says the success rate of the genre on the big screen is worth a mention.

“There have been various movies like ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ which I think was an excellent film. Vidya did it with the film. So the kind of performance required is of that calibre for a TV actor.”

Ekta decided to bring the story via the TV show as “It was one lacking spot and I wanted to do something new.”

Vivek Dahiya wanted to secure a lead show before marrying Divyanka Tripathi

Actor Vivek Dahiya, who is tying the knot with TV star Divyanka Tripathi next month, says he is lucky to have the actress in his life.

While Vivek is relatively new to the industry, Tripathi has become one of the top actresses on television, thanks to the popularity of “Ye Hai Mohabbatein”.

“We do discuss work… She has a positive attitude towards life. She will never discourage you. If she doesn’t like anything, she will never say that on your face. She will put it in some other way. She never disrespects anyone. I value her advices and feel lucky to have her in my life,” Vivek told a news portal. The actor, 31, met Tripathi on the sets of the show. He had no plans of getting married anytime soon but says when his co-star suggested about Divyanka, he could not say no. ”I have just started my career and marriage was a far-fetched idea for me. Pankaj Bhatia, who plays Bala on ‘Yeh Hai Mohabatein’, first approached me with the idea.

“Initially, I thought he had lost his senses but I realized our goals in life were similar. It’s an arranged-cum-love marriage.” Vivek is also moving forward in his career as he plays the lead in Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural series “Kawach…Kaali Shaktiyon se” which airs on Colors.”There was always a thought in my mind that I should secure a lead show before my marriage. This thought was always in my mind but I didn’t go out of my way to do it. We both are very happy with my achievement,” he said.

The actor says playing a lead role is a huge responsibility.”I am not nervous. I feel it’s more like a responsibility on my shoulders now. Ekta has shown a lot of confidence in me as she thinks I can pull this off. I just have to give my best shot. The moment I feel nervous, I try to turn the feeling as a source of motivation.”

Vivek will be seen opposite “Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin” star Mona Singh, who is playing his wife, on the finite series while former “Bigg Boss” contestant Maheck Chahal is in the role an obsessed lover, who comes from the dead.

“I thought Mona would have the tantrums, which are generally attached to a star. But those are really my inhibitions and nothing else. On the very first day of shooting, I was told that we will be shooting a romantic scene. I was nervous and at the same time it was an awkward moment. But she made me comfortable with her jokes…”

SHOCKING: Kapil Sharma’s Bua aka Upasana Singh QUITS ‘Comedy Nights Live’

Sad ! Bua won’t be seen in Comedy Nights Live anymore !

Comedian Upasana Singh became a household name with the show Comedy Nights with Kapil. Her ‘kaun hai ye aadmi’ and ’22 year old hot sexy’ jokes made us laugh. When Kapil Sharma decided to part ways with Colors the entire team moved with him to Sony, except her. She decided to stick to the Comedy Nights brand and not join ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. In absence of Kapil and his team, Colors asked other popular comedians like Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh to join the show and Upasana willingly agreed to work with them.

However, the comedian has decided to quit ‘Comedy Nights Live’ now. ”Yes, I have quit Comedy Nights Live. I am not shooting for it since last two weeks and don’t wish to go back to Comedy Nights Live ” she told a leading portal confirming the news. She refused to give any additional details regarding quitting the show. ”I might address a press conference next week to talk about it. All I can say at the moment is that few things were not happening right and it will be sorted by Monday,” she said.

Now this is shocking, considering she was the only one who decided to stay back with Colors and the brand. We hope this doesn’t turn out to be another ‘Bhabhiji’ controversy. Shilpa Shinde had quit the popular show ‘Bhabhiji Ghar par Hai’  in a similar manner. Karan Mehra too quit his popular show recently because of some health issues.

The lady maintains they were never friends but thorough professionals to take the show to success…

As Naitik Singhania, actor Karan Mehra was one of the pillars of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Fans of the long-running daily soap were shocked when he announced his decision to quit due to serious health issues. His wife, Nisha Raval also sent out an emotional message on Facebook highlighting her hubby’s commitment to the show. Rumour mills went overdrive stating how he did not gel with co-star Hina Khan, who plays Akshara.

When Bollywood Life got in touch with her, she said, “I don’t know who are spreading such stories. As Naitik, he was one of the pillars of the show. We have worked together for seven years and won many awards for Best Jodi. Yes, he would have liked him to continue but he has taken a decision and we respect that.”

Hina is extremely attached to the show, which marked her debut in the TV world. “Yes, we are worried. We know that his exit will impact the show. We have our fingers crossed. Karan will be missed by all of us,” she stated. The current TRPs of YRKKH are in the range of 2.2. to 2.5, which makes it one of the top shows for the channel. “It is true that Karan and I weren’t friends. However, we are thorough professionals and approach our work with integrity. We worked for such a long time and would have continued working for the years still the show went on,” she opined.

When we asked Hina about how the production was upset about Karan reportedly using his wife, Nisha to vent his feelings, she said, “I think my tweet has said it all. I believe in maintaining my dignity. My father told me that silence is golden and I stick by that rule.”

Yes, it becomes hectic as after pack up of one show, I need to rush for the other,” Garima said in a statement. The actress says both the shows are going to set a new trend in the television industry and “I am so happy to be part of them,” she added.

Garima has been roped in “Shakti…Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki” to play actop Vivian Dsena’s younger sister. Talking about her role in “Shakti…Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki”, Garima said: “I will play Raavi, the youngest daughter in the family. Kavach review: Vivek Dahiya possessed by Mehek Chahal; acts SUPER MEAN with Mona Singh!

This second episode was quite NSFW, yet we had to watch it at work place…

The first episode too had a lot of scenes that would make you rush to your kid and probably blindfold them. Episode two was a little more than that. So if you’re into horrex kinda genre (horror-sex), this is the right show to watch. Although, this episode had a lot of elements of Raaz and Hum Saath Saath Hain, weird combo, I know, but overall, there were certain scenes that definitely should’ve gone under the Censor Board radar. Lucky save, Kavach!

So Vivek Dahiya aka Rajbir Singh Bundhela and his fiance, Mona Singh aka Paridhi, take the entire family to visit the Hanuman temple hidden in a secluded arid region (forgive the geographical term). Yes, they do the exact same thing that Hum Saath Saath Hain does in the song, ABCDEFGHI… The family is all together, having fun when suddenly their bus takes a halt as they cannot pass through due to certain roadblock (thank you, evil Mehek Chahal aka Manjulika). They take a detour to reach the place but are scared away by a common man saying that it’s haunted by some lady. A lot like Bhool Bhulaiya. But they continue to tread the path. Their bus breaks down and they have to find a mechanic. Rajbir leaves the pack and looks out for some sign of civilization when he comes across Mehek’s pretty form.

She woos him and manages to extract some blood out of him which she uses for her voodoo shiz. Yes, he’s all hers. So much that just when she’s about to bed him, Paridhi’s prayers work wonders and Manjulika is left hanging. However, during their steamy scenes on bed, a strand of Rajbir’s hair falls prey to Manjulika’s black magic. He’s all hers now and starts acting super mean with Paridhi (who btw, saved his life). On their mehendi night, Mehek too waltz’s in and acts all cozy with Rajbir, who again puts Paridhi down in front of everyone. Very weird. But the next episode is gonna get weirder as Rajbir and Manjulika are going to have a sultry song sequence, on his mehendi, in front of his fiance and family. Yes, this shiz is real bro!

Are you excited for episode 3? Tell us your views of episode 2 in the comments section below! And stay tuned as we bring hot scoops on Kavach!

Anil Kapoor’s 24 season 2 all set to replace Krushna Abhishek’s Comedy Nights Live?

The latest reports suggest the channel will retain Comedy Nights Bachao but will do away with the other show…

Colors announced the date the second season of Anil Kapoor’s 24 will premiere at the show’s the trailer launch. CEO Raj Nayak said that the show will air July 17 (Sunday) onwards, but refrained from mentioning the time it’d air. Which begs the question. Which show will 24 replace? There are three possible time-slots, explains a source from the channel. “It can either come in the 8-9 pm slot, the 9-10 pm one or the 10-11 pm slot. The channel will definitely not take a risk with the 11-12 pm slot, because it will then lose out on potential viewers.”

Another khabri reveals that Raj has already finalised the plan with his team. “In all probability, Comedy Nights will shut down in July.” Why so? The source tells us, “Colors has just launched Kavach in place of Naagin in the 8 pm slot which means that is blocked. The 9-10 pm slot usually has India’s Got Talent and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa on weekends which means that prime-time slot too is unavailable. So the only time slot left for 24 is the 10-11 pm slot, which is now occupied by Comedy Nights.”

Comedy Nights Bachao airs on Saturdays whereas Comedy Nights Live comes a day later, on Sundays. Does that mean the start of 24: Season 2 has rung the death knell for Comedy Nights? It might not. “There are still chances that the channel might decide to have only one episode of 24 every week, unlike the bi-weekly system they followed last time.”

There are other reasons too. Adds our little birdie, “CNB has still has maintained decent ratings whereas Comedy Nights Live has never really managed to break even. The hype around CNL (primarily due to Kapil’s exit) helped them open to good ratings, but the negative word-of-mouth killed the show almost instantly. So given a choice, Raj will obviously decide to shut down CNL and retain CNB instead. The channel will take a call on the same in a few weeks’ time.” In all likelihood, it might just be the end of road for the Comedy Nights franchise anyway this July!

Orlando shooting: Sushant Divgikar gives out a HEARTFELT message

One of the prominent members of the LGBT community in India, Sushant voiced his feelings…

The mass shooting at a gay club in Orlando has again highlighted the scourge of terrorism across the world. Omar Mateen, the shooter had apparently once been very upset after seeing two men in Miami. Bollywood Life got in touch with Mr Gay India 2014 and anchor Sushant Divgikar who expressed his grief over this senseless attack. He said, “It is tough to digest. It is really sad. As far as I heard, that was one of the best known clubs in the area.” When we asked him if he was surprised that it happened in the US, which is considered to be a liberal society, he replied, “I have always maintained that when it comes to rights for the LGBT community, US is at the forefront. If it can happen, there I don’t know where things are headed to. However, more than being an act of hatred for the LGBT community, it is about terrorism. I don’t understand under what mask/pretext do, individuals feel like taking lives and giving up their own. Life is such a precious gift from God.”

One of the reasons for antagonism towards the LGBT community from radical groups is that they can’t reproduce and hence are heretics. “What kind of constructive behaviour are people displaying by such actions? A few days back I heard US Presidential candidate Donald Trump calling for a temporary ban on Muslim migration. It is not right to label a single community as radical. We know so many Muslims the world over who are very constructive and have done a world of good for entire humanity. We need to prevent young people from getting influenced by messengers of hate. Terrorism has to be curbed,” opines Sushant.

He also told us that US needs to review its firearms policy, which at present, makes it very simple for anyone to get access to a gun. “They really need to check out their security,” signs off Sushant.

Yay! The romance is finally here…

The rains have brought in the romance. Yup, we see will the love confession from Dev (Shaheer Sheikh). He will tell Natasha (Roop Durgapal) that he does not love her so can’t marry her. He tells her that he is feeling guilty. She will calm him down and help him express his feelings to Sonakshi (Erica Fernandes).

Dev will get very restless and drive down to her home wearing the orange shirt. It would be pretty late so he would wait outside the door. Finally, in the morning, he will ring and Sonakshi will step out with a vessel thinking it is the milkman.

She will be totally flabbergasted to see Dev in a such a romantic mood. He will say that he loves her and spread his arms. She will rush into them and they’ll share a tight embrace. Then, the magical confession of love will take place.

Prior to this, we will see Dev taking Sona on a drive where it will start raining. The couple will be seen exchanging glances. We guess the makers want to build up the monsoon magic.

After confessing his feelings, Dev will be little wary as he does not know how his mother, Ishwari (Supriya Pilgaonkar) will relate to his love confession to Sonakshi. The two women did not get along well at the start but slowly became friends. Stay tuned for more updates

Kamya Punjabi and producer Pearl Grey embroiled in slug-fest over non-payment of dues

The two don’t seem to be in a mood to spare one another…

In another controversy, actor Kamya Punjabi and producer Pearl Grey have been at logger-heads over the non-payment of dues to the former. The lady saw Pearl’s vacation snaps on a social networking site and left a message reminding her that she had not paid any moment. The lady did not revert, instead her sister replied that it was not courteous to ask for money on that platform. In an interview to The Times of India, Kamya said, “I would have understood if she told me that it would take her time to give me my money. They tell me after this producers won’t approach me for work. Basically, they expect me to suck up to them. I have never done that. I have been getting work not for buttering up producers, but because of my talent. I am not here to do charity.”

The lady facing the heat, Pearl Grey stated, “What Kamya did was very cheap and uncalled for. It shows her character more than mine. Yes, I have to pay people, which I am doing through the federation. She should have gone to CINTAA (Cine and TV Artistes’ Association) like everyone else and not stoop so low by writing on social media. I chose not to react to her comment. I don’t mind if people seek legal action or help from associations. Not that she tried calling or messaging me before that. The last time I received a message from her was on April 25. And then, suddenly I saw her comment on my account. But then that’s Kamya… What else can be expected of her? I haven’t blocked anyone apart from Kamya on FB and that too, only after she crossed the line by commenting on my picture. The actors from ‘Doli Armaanon Ki’ went to CINTAA, so nobody is calling me because I talk to CINTAA and FWICE only. Kamya was the only actor I met twice to explain my situation. I requested her to give me some time. She did not call me after April 25. I will pay all the actors. Things got delayed because of the ban imposed by the federation on me. Now, that the ban is lifted, I’m working and getting shows. I will be able to pay soon.”

‘It’s the unknown that excites us more to watch them,’ says Ekta Kapoor who is back with Kavach

After setting a trend with saas bahu shows, she is now a pioneer of supernatural sagas

After being the pioneer of saas-bahu soaps on TV with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Ekta Kapoor has set the trend of shows with supernatural and paranormal elements. Naagin that revolved around the concept of icchadari naagin became the numero uno show since its inception and the promos of Season 2 are already on air. In the meantime, she is back with Kavach — Kaali Shaktiyon Se that deals with supernatural elements. Here she talks about what makes these shows popular and why shows like Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do, that was supposed to be a game-changer had no takers…

After saas-bahu soaps you have unleashed the naagins and supernatural forces. What makes these shows popular?

Why are Harry Potter and Game Of Thrones popular? We have been seeing these typical shows for so many years — supernatural mixed with social elements. It gives the social shows another twist. I think it’s a mystique of the world we don’t know that lures us. It’s the unknown that excites us more to watch them. Having said that there’s going to be a phase for everything. We will constantly do all kinds of entertainment. Right now, this space is interesting to explore. When it gets to the level of becoming repetitive people will want a break from it. I know that when the audience gets bored I am supposed to accept defeat and move on.

Your show Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do, despite having a good cast and a progressive theme didn’t work.

I think it’s got to do with people like us — you and me. We don’t watch TV. We are not into appointment viewing and none of us is at home to make appointment viewing a priority. Shows targetted at urban India will now have to be seen on Apps. We are moving to different mediums. TV is for that audience which is now being exposed to it at home and for those who have fewer options for entertainment.

You yourself are a religious person, so how did Kavach come about?

I don’t call myself a religious person ever. I am a spiritual person, I follow my own beliefs. I don’t follow one religion completely. If anything hurts the sensibilities I don’t follow that. Religion for me is the final path of spirituality. As for Kavach, it has both points of viewers — non-believers who are the family members including the protagonist and others who feel these things happen. It is the unknown science and till proven completely wrong there will be both sides to it.

Is it true that Ken Ghosh’s XXX, the film that you produced is now going to be a web series?

I can’t comment on that right now. I work for a company and the decisions made in the company will always be relevant to what works best for the show and film.

Reportedly, the lady has not been paid her dues for a long time…

While the whole cast of Comedy Nights With Kapil went with Kapil Sharma for The Kapil Sharma Show, actress Upasna Singh who played the flirtatious Bua was the only one who stayed behind for the replacement show, Comedy Nights Live.

In a statement to The Times of India, she said, “I can’t divulge the details. I might address a press conference next week to talk about it. All I can say at the moment is that few things were not happening right.” The actress also said she has no plans to return to Comedy Nights Live. In another report to an entertainment portal, the actress had revealed the real reason behind her exit from the show.

According to a report on an entertainment portal, the actress revealed the reason behind her exit from the show. She said that she had worked for four months but the makers had paid her only for two days so far much to her dismay. Upasna, who is also a part of the social-mythological show, ‘Jai Santoshi Maa’ lashed out at the production house saying that Optimystix Productions should not behave like they are the sole banner providing work to TV artistes. What is more shocking is that she called the show, Comedy Nights Dead and said it was the worst experience of her 18-year-long career.

The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai gets candid with Bollywood Life on his exit, future plans and speculations…

Karan Mehra’s exit from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has upset loyal fans and also given rise to a number of speculations. Stories of how he did not gel with co-star Hina Khan made news since a while but some even hinted that the Facebook post from his wife, Nisha Rawal was a ‘hidden message’ of sorts. We decided to get in touch with Karan, and here’s what he had to say…

How would you describe your innings on YRKKH?

It was simply amazing. Of course, it involved a lot of hard work from the team and me but it was extremely rewarding experience. The credit for the show’s milestones goes to the whole team. However, my journey has ended.

Which memory will you cherish till your last day?

There are so many. In a journey of seven years, you make you so memories as you grow and learn things. The best would be of my first day on the sets of YRKKH. We shot so many times outdoors, at times, I will recollect that. I will remember how we made it work as a team.

Hina and you were never buddies. Was it tough to create chemistry without friendship?

No…not really. We were good enough professionals to give 100 per cent to our scenes. I would give Hina full credit for that. It is not impossible to create good chemistry even if you’re not buddies. Every actor should know to work with that mindset.

What are your future plans?

I am not a patient as such. I plan to travel extensively for a couple of months and look after my health. I need to physically and mentally rejuvenate myself.

Did the speculations surprise you?

People always tend to speculate on such matters. Yes, when I announced my decision to quit, a lot of people said many things. Nisha decided to put out that post to express her views and put out the truth in her own manner. People reacted very well to her post and it was written in a very simple manner.

karan-mehra-wife-FB

A section of people termed Nisha as your unofficial spokesperson who vented out your feelings after she put the Facebook post?

Well, I can speak for myself. If people wish to say certain things, it’s their call. She has not targeted anyone with the post or mentioned anyone’s name. I would like to wish the best to everyone associated with the show.

What about stories of a rift with the producer, Rajan Shahi?

We have got along very well throughout these seven years. He is a father figure for me. We shared a great rapport till the last day. After my health started dwindling, we tried to work out some permutations and combinations but sadly that did not work. My journey on YRKKH has ended but we might just connect again.

You are the most low-profile of all the Karans in the TV industry…

I was. I never believed in doing unnecessary things to attract attention or indulge in heavy PR. I kept it simple throughout these seven years. I feel it was because of this that I could be a part of a historic show like YRKKH.

Kavach: 5 reasons why people should not compare it to Naagin!

$
0
0

The two shows are poles apart, at least we feel so

After Naagin, Ekta Kapoor is back with another supernatural show, Kavach. A lot of people are invariably comparing to Naagin, which it has replaced. However, we feel here are five reasons why they’re totally different.

Theme
Naagin was in the mythical-supernatural-thriller category while Kavach is clearly in the horror-thriller category. The show seems to be influenced by 1920, the film and Zee TV’s 2008 soap, Shree that had a similar subject.

Not for kids
We are sure that many will agree that Naagin was fun viewing for kids, who enjoyed the shape-shifting snakes. There is none of that in Kavach. It talks of occult, black magic and hoodoo. The content can be pretty disturbing at times.

Bold theme
The first couple of episodes have showed us that the makers are not shying away from showing horrex. We had Vivek Dahiya (Rajbeer) stripped to his bare essentials, Maheck Chahal (Manjulika) in a Mandakini sequence and a steamy romantic interlude. The Censors have been lenient, we must say!

Humour
Naagin was highly entertaining because of the corny lines it doled out time and again. We feel that Kavach won’t have that humour in the narrative due to its dark content about occult. The jokes will be limited to the family members.

The lady she was perceived as a Behenji for a really long time….

Divyanka Tripathi is loved by millions of fans for her sincere portrayal of Ishita on Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. The lady is seen in gorgeous salwar-kameezes and saris on the show. In a recent interview, the lady admitted that many people thought of her as a behenji and that was a tough perception to alter. At the initial days of her career, the lady refused to wear short dresses as she had never donned them in real life. We see Divyanka mostly in Indian wear on YHM and the lady loves her saris and anarkalis in real life as well. Sometimes, we see her in denims and a tee.

In an interview to a leading newspaper, she said, “I played a simple girl in Banoo Main Teri Dulhan (2006) and after that everyone thought I am like that in real life too. It was when I entered Comedy Circus in 2013 that I actually opened up because I realised that if I don’t wear short clothes, people will have this notion that Divyanka is a ‘behenji’ and she cannot do anything but wear conservative clothes and look sober. As an actor, I really had to break this thought.”

However, the lady’s sartorial outings have changed in recent times. We have seen her wearing gowns in red carpet events and photo-shoots. Her wardrobe was also a varied one during her trip to Sri Lanka. From maxi dresses to skirts and tops, she had a variety. Well, Divyanka people now know you’re a fab actress, so there’s no need for extra effort.

It has been introduced by producer Gurudev Bhalla for his actors, Vatsal Seth and Ishita Dutta

It is not uncommon for TV actors to fall in love on the sets. After all, with the kind of hours they put in work, it’s impossible for them to find soul-mates outside. Producer Gurudev Bhalla who is the maker of the new show, Rishton Ka Saudagar – Baazigar has placed a clause before his lead actors, Vatsal Seth and Ishita Dutta that they cannot fall in love or date during the tenure of the show. The clause is one-of-its-kind and people are talking about it.

Actor Vivian Dsena told a leading newspaper, “We can’t control or keep tabs on our feelings. I met my wife Vahbiz while working on Pyar Ki Ek Kahaani. If there was a clause like this at that time, I would have laughed it off. Clauses can’t be put on emotions and relationships. Actors are expected to be professional in their approach and it’s an individual’s decision whether she or he agrees to a particular clause. At the end of the day, there has to be consensus between an actor and the production house or channel. What actors do in their personal lives outside the set is their decision. However, decorum has to be maintained on the set. Even if co-stars fall in love, they should not disturb the shoot or unit in any way.”

Actor Aamir Ali who dated Sanjeeda Sheikh for many years also opined to the same paper. He said, “Sanjee and I were doing two different shows made by the same production house. Luckily, no one stopped me or I didn’t get arrested when I went to meet her on her set, which was in the same compound. On a serious note, actors who are dating must take care to not disrupt or delay shoots. And if they ever break up, they have to make sure that work doesn’t suffer.”
