Preetika Rao aka Aaliya knows how to keep looking gorgeous and be healthy even in this killing heat. She shares some of the things she does to keep the heat at bay.

Preetika says that it is important to keep ourselves hydrated. So drinking plenty of water is a must. The actor suggests using a high SPF sunscreen. Smothering some sunscreen is the best way to protect the skin from any sort of damage. She even suggests her fans to use water based moisturiser for the skin to keep it healthy and glowing instead of the oil based ones. The actor surely knows her skin products well.

The Beintehaa babe is often seen eating a lot of fruits during her breaks. She says that plenty of fruits and cucumber keeps the body cool and plus it is good for health. She further adds that it is important to wash the face at least twice a day to let the skin breathe freely. Lastly she adds, plenty of sleep is essential to get a healthy and glowing skin too.

The popular comedienne is holding a swayamwar at the award ceremony held to felicitate the Mumbai police

In this year’s Umang Awards 2014, Bharti Singh is holding a swayamwar for herself. She is seeking a groom who is rich, handsome, and someone who appreciates her beauty. And guess who the candidates she chose as her potential grooms; the witty advocate from Adaalat- Ronit Roy, Sony Entertainment Network’s COO, NP Singh and Inspector Himanshu from Mumbai Police.

In between the award ceremony, Bharti made her way towards the audience and targeted Ronit Roy first. After receiving dirty glares from his wife, the comedienne moved to her next target, NP Singh. “I had received a marriage proposal from NP Singh as well,” said Bharti. The poor COO simply blushed and excused himself from Bharti’s embarrassing questions.

The comedienne next asked Inspector Himanshu from the Mumbai Police to be her groom. Unfortunately, the poor gal received rejection from everywhere. But that did not stop Bharti, by the end of the event she compromised and decided to marry co-host Manish Paul. LOL!

Roshni Kataria had come to college to take revenge from her sister’s killers, but her final plan failed and she is caught

Roshni Kataria took out Gauri’s friends one by one, punishing them for torturing her sister Neha Kataria. She spoiled Zara’s voice, ruined Nihaal’s studio and drugged Roy and forced him to cut off his hand. Her next target was Yudi Kharbanda and Gauri, but things did not go exactly according to plan.

Gauri and her gang found out that Roshni was behind all the attacks on the group and hence they decided to trap her. They collected all the evidence against her and called her in a secluded area. When Roshni reached there, she realised that her secret is out. The group tortured her by beating her black and blue, cut off her hair, drugged her, stripped her and videotaped it. All this while, Roshni kept thinking that maybe Gauti (her boyfriend) will save her, but that was the biggest blow. Gauti packs her in a steel box and leaves her outside her hostel.

The next episode will truly reveal what the gang of five actually did to Roshni. Well it seems like all Roshni’s plans fell down like a pack of cards, but this is not the end. Even if she is injured the daring babe will continue her plans to destroy the five. Guess things are just getting more interesting from here on.

The CID Giraftaar series showcases the leading cops arrested for crimes they have not committed

Sony TV’s popular crime show CID has always been a tad hatke when it come to solving cases. Sometimes they had to solve the cases in a day, while sometimes they had to go across the borders to catch the criminals. But this time they are going to solve the case from behind the bars. ACP Pradyuman (Shivaji Satam), Daya (Dayanand Shetty) and Abhijeet (Aditya Shrivastava) are in jail and have to solve a crime using just their intelligence. It’s a rather different kind of experience.

Currently, in the Giraftaar series, all the cops are on target of some unknown criminals, who are picking them one by one. They’ve been targeted and CID is almost close enough to nail the guys, but being in prison makes things a little difficult, no?

Will they able to catch the criminals from behind the bars? To know more, watch the special Giraftaar series this Friday April 18 to 20 at 10 pm only on Sony Entertainment Television.

India’s current comic craze will not be hosting the seventh season of celebrity dance reality show, we hear

Last season the terrific jodi of Kapil Sharma and Manish Paul, who co-hosted Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (JDJ) had the audience in splits with their irreverent banter and jokes on the celebrity dancing reality show. However, this year, Kapil is likely to give a miss to JDJ. Says a source, “He has signed up three films and will be shooting simultaneously for Comedy Nights With Kapil and his movie Bank Chor. Last year, he had found it stressful shooting for Jhalak.. and Comedy… Now with a film also, it will not be possible. We wonder if that’s the real reason, or is there something more than what meets the eye. After all, don’t we know how Mr Sharma and Paul had a fallout of sorts after the former went on to host Kapil’s arch rival Sunil Grover’s show, Mad In India?

Anyway, we hear that Manish is likely to continue as the host in JDJ and this time they will be looking for a female co-host. Bharti Singh who had participated in the last Jhalak… is one of the contendors.” Bharti, who will be seen in the comedy show Gangs Of Hassepur (GOH) said that though she has not yet been approached, she would love to host Jhalak…

“My two passions are comedy and dance. If I host Jhalak.. I will get an opportunity to dance,” she smiles. As for GOH, she says, she will be doing a guest performance for four episodes only. The participants confirmed in the show are Karan Tacker, VJ Andy, Mouni Roy, Shakti Singh, Akshat Singh and Pooja Bose (Parvati of Devon Ke Dev Mahadev).

Kushal Tandon and Gauahar Khan are all set to shoot for a music video in Dubai. It’s for a romantic sufi song sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and will be unveiled at the upcoming IIFA Awards in the US. Both Kushal and Gauahar have flown to Dubai to shoot for the song that will be directed by Rahul Sood. Said Kushal, “I have been getting a lot of offers but because of my upcoming surgery I wasn’t taking it up.

However, the concept of this song is very interesting and more important has Gauahar and me together. Plus it’s sung by Raahat Fateh Ali Khan.” The romantic sufi number is about realising the value of a person after a break-up. “They wanted a real happening couple. Since Gauahar and I are in love it’s perfect. There is no dance or action in the song, it’s all about romance and chemistry, which we have in abundance,” grins Kushal, who will shoot in Dubai for two days and return for his surgery scheduled on April 23. Incidentally, the video will be launched on the same day.

After the film Shootout At Lokhandwala based on the sensational encounter between the cops and gangster Maya Dolas, the incident is being recreated on the small-screen in the show Encounter. Eijaz Khan will be playing the cop, while Chetan Hansraj is set to play the dreaded gangster. Says a source from the sets, “The incident has been fictionalised to a certain extent and we are shooting at various locations in Mumbai.

Eijaz has grown a moustache for the role, while Chetan who already has a long mane has just played around with his hair to look like a gangster.” Eijaz was last seen in Punar Vivah 2 while Chetan is currently seen in Jodha Akbar as Adham Khan.

Dayanand Shetty, more popularly known as Daya from CID, was evicted this week from Khatron Ke Khiladi 5 Darr Ka Blockbuster. The farewell was very emotional and every contestant along with the host Rohit Shetty was upset that Daya was bidding adieu to the show. Viewers had high hopes from CID’s most popular detective, who is famous for breaking doors, to stay till the end but unfortunately he got evicted pretty early. Dayanand started off the stunt based reality show as one of the most strongest contestants, but with the level of difficulty of the stunts increasing day by day, Daya found his survival more and more difficult.

Daya had once told us that he was afraid of water, and he was struggling in every task that  involved water, but the task in which he got eliminated there was not a speck of water involved. The task was one stunt which was actually very close to the heart of Rohit Shetty, and Daya had to compete with Rajneesh Duggal for it. The car based action stunt required the the two contestants driving themselves out of a moving truck and then reaching Rohit by cycling the remaining distance. Daya’s most strongest advantage was his huge size and the strength that he got out of it, but sadly neither of them helped him in his elimination task. The Horsepower stunt where he had to stand on a platform, which got dragged by two horses, while he had to try and grab as many rings as possible which were suspended on a pole. Daya failed miserably to balance himself on the said platform and fell off it as soon as the task started. Daya also failed to reach up to Rohit faster than Rajneesh.

That is exactly how our beloved Daya bid farewell to the adventure pumping and fear thumping reality stunt show. Rohit expressed his heartfelt sorrow as Dayanand left. Daya and Rohit knew each other for over 22 years, but their friendship was never brought onto the show by either of them. Neither of them try to take advantage of this fact and acted pretty professionally on the show. Now that is the sign of true sportsmanship. Hai na peeps?

Looks like the threatening to quit the show has become the latest fad in telly-land

Sometime back Jodha Akbar heroine Paridhi Sharma announced that she will be bidding adieu to the show, however soon she was seen romancing her hero Rajat Tokas on screen. Now the buzz doing rounds suggests that Beintehaa actor Preetika Rao is on a threatening spree on her serial’s sets. Aaliya contradictory to her on screen character is throwing her weight around on the show’s production unit and has even miffed her director in the process. While everyone is eagerly awaiting for love to unfold on screen between Zain and Aaliya, off screen is complete opposite. It seems that Preetika aka Aaliya’s tantrums on the sets have shot up suddenly that the show is getting popular. Many suggest that the actor keeps threatening to walk-out if things are not as per her preference. So miffed is her director that he has been overheard telling the crew that Amrita Rao’s sister needs to focus on her acting talents first rather than pretending to be a star already.

Paridhi on the other hand unlike Preetika had issues with her show’s director who seemed to harassing her, which is when she met Ekta Kapoor. The matter was resolved and Ms Sharma came back happy on the show.

And it’s not just these heroines, even Manish Paul walked out of Mad In India after he failed to deliver TRPs, he was also upset that his interview platform was being cut short. Will Preetika‘s tantrums result in her actually walking out of the show or will she continue with her successful television debut? We’ll have to wait and watch.

Sunny Leone is back to where she started her career in Hindi showbiz – the small screen. She has signed up as the host of popular dating reality show MTV Splitsvilla, and she is excited.

Sunny, who recently hosted MTV’s Haunted Weekends made inroads into the Mumbai entertainment industry following her 2011 appearance on Bigg Boss 5. “I recently hosted a show for MTV and I totally loved working with such a creative bunch of people. So when they came back to me with the offer of hosting MTV Splitsvilla, I immediately said yes,” Sunny said in a statement.

“It’s a fun show focussing on the youth and one of the biggest and most watched shows on MTV. I’m excited to be a part of MTV Splitsvilla and I hope people will love me in my new avatar as well,” she added.

The show has an equal number of girls and boys fighting their battle of love to win the crown of the king and the queen.

Sunny will co-host the seventh season of the show with Nikhil Chinapa. It will go on air in a few months, said a source.

The former porn star has been successful in creating space and visibility for herself on the Bollywood screens so far. After her debut with 2012 erotic thriller Jism 2, she featured in Jackpot and Ragini MMS 2. She has also grooved to an item song in Shootout At Wadala.

That Qubool Hai will be undergoing a 20 year leap is an old goss. And while Karanvir Bohra has been roped in opposite Surbhi Jyoti’s new character Sanam, looks like the makers of the show are all set to take the element of entertainment a notch higher as we hear that Paaras Madaan, who is a newbie in the TV industry has been finalised for the fresh cast of Qubool Hai. Yes, you read that right! So what will be his role in this hit TV show, you ask?

From what we hear, Paaras will portray the character of Anwar, who apparently will bump into Sanam and they will have a track to start with. And as the story will progress, it will be a love triangle between Anwar, Sanam and Aahil (Karanvir). Woah, looks like the makers are leaving no stone unturned to get Qubool Hai ruling on the TRP charts, hai na?

Anyway, will this love triangle between Surbhi, Karanvir and Paaras in Qubool Hai make the viewers happy? Will the chemistry between the trio create any fireworks like it did during Karan Singh Grover‘s stint in the show? Well, all we can do is just wait and watch.

Owing to Mad In India‘s poor response, the show will breathe it’s last on May 4

Sunil Grover’s Mad In India (MAI) is all set to go off-air, we hear. And honestly we aren’t surprised. Though Grover launched Mad In India amidst much hype and resurrected his beloved creation Gutthi in a new avatar and a new name -  Chutki, but unfortunately, Mad In India fell completely flat as it didn’t live up to the expectations neither in terms of audience response nor the TRPs.

The makers tried to do some damage control by calling various Bollywood celebrities, extending Chutki’s portions and introducing Grover in different avatars. But nothing worked in their favour, due to which Manish Paul, who hosted the show decided to call it quits. And that was the beginning of the end, as it was Manish’s spot on one liners that saved the day in Grover‘s not so funny show.

And now if the grapevine is to be believed, MAI is all set to see an end very soon. Reportedly the cast and crew shot the last episode on April 18. Krushna Abhishek, who replaced Manish, shot only two out of four episodes. The final episode of Mad In India will be aired on May 4, we hear.

Well, as they say, “Ye toh hona hi tha.” We wonder, what will Sunil’s next step be after this? Will he go back to Kapil Sharma’s Comedy Nights with Kapil? Well, we hope he does. It’s high time, hai na?

After walking out of Desh Ki Beti Nandini, Aadesh quits another show. Read on to find out what happened…

Zee TV’s Doli Armaanon Ki couldn’t retain Aadesh Chaudhary who played the role of Amrit on the show. The actor cites creative difference as the reason for his exodus. Aadesh was earlier in the news for quitting Zee TV’s Desh Ki Beti Nandini. Although initially he thought that the limited screen time on Nandini would allow him to devote time to Doli…, he was forced to quit the show.

And now he has quit Doli… as well. Apparently like Dipika Samson who recently walked out of Sasural Simar Ka because she was bored of her track in that show, Aadesh too walked out of the show as he did not find the track interesting.

Aadesh was unhappy with the way his character Amrit was turned into Samrat’s (Mohit Malik) chamcha. He expressed displeasure at how the makers failed to keep to the track they had originally narrated to Chaudhary. He had expected to be pitted against Samrat as his archenemy but as the show progressed he was reduced to a mere sidekick.

The miffed actor said, “My character has become like Shakti Kapoor and I am not ready for it. I tried my best to do justice to the character, but couldn’t beyond a point.” We hear that the actor has put in his papers and even wrapped up the last shoot. The makers are busy looking for a replacement.

Though we are saddened at how one after the other none of the soaps seem to work out for Aadesh, we hope that the talented bad boy of television manages to anchor his ship somewhere some time soon.

As you will already know, Karanvir Bohra has been roped in to romance Surbhi Jyoti’s character Sanam in Qubool Hai after the 20 year leap. But what you don’t know is that the makers of the show are planning to make Karanvir’s introduction scene in the show to be a memorable one.

If the grapevine is to be believed, Karanvir’s entry has been shot topless. Yes, you read that right! So Mr Bohra, who will be playing the character Aahil Raza Ibrahim will be seen flaunting those chiseled looks and washboard abs right from his entry in Qubool Hai. Ladies, keep your eyes open.

Karanvir posted a collage of some behind the scene moments on his Instagram account while shooting for the his entry scene. “Its official,mujhe #Quboolhai Qubool hai Shooting for my introduction scene.its gonna be worth watching. Never has an opening sequence shot like this. Beautifully executed. Really loving the role. All #Godsgrace,” he posted.

That’s not all. It seems that Karanvir is happy with the way his character has been sketched out it’s quite evident from his Twitter page as well. “3rd day of shoot and I’m loving it. @bombaysunshine love the name too. #AahilRazaIbrahim,” the TV actor tweeted.

Just when the doctors decide to announce the news of Sohum’s death to his family, Sohum is brought back to life. Seems like Rajji’s determination translated into this miracle and saved Sohum’s life!

Bani calls on Rajji to tell her about the good news and the moment Rajji hears about Sohum, overwhelmed with emotions and love she runs barefoot to meet him. Though she hurts her foot on the way she neglects her own pain and continues running to the hospital where Sohum is admitted.

But Rajji is in for a shock when she arrives at the hospital. Sohum regains consciousness he asks for his wife, Bani and not Rajji. As the family gapes at Sohum, we cannot overlook how Rajji must have had her heart broken. Just when Sohum and Rajji had set aside differences and fell in love, fate played a cruel joke on their happiness.

Ruslaan has few films lined up but the dishy actor wants to come back on the small screen soon 

With Sony TV’s show Kehta Hai Dil… Jee Le Zara going off-air in June owing to a lukewarm audience response, actor Ruslaan Mumtaz, who plays the lead in the show, hopes to make a comeback soon. Ruslaan plays Dhruv Goyal aka DV in his TV debut.   “Luckily, I had already signed a few films, so I will be busy with that. But I will miss my fans. The love that the audience have given DV, I am not sure whether my other new characters would be able to receive that or not,” said the 31-year-old Sunday on the sets of the show here.

“I will miss TV. So I pray to get a new TV show as soon as possible so that I can come back to TV and meet my fans at their homes,” added Ruslaan, who earlier made his film debut with 2007 release MP3 Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar.

“…Jee Le Zara” is the love story of DV who falls for a middle-aged woman Saachi played by Sangeeta Ghosh. The show airs Monday-Thursday at 9:30 p.m.

For quite some time now the Abdullah’s are busy celebrating their daughter’s return to Barkat mansion
